I am 72. I got my new knee brace yesterday late afternoon (after a bit of a shipping delay). It certainly took some time to get all 4 straps adjusted. Adjusting for offloading from my medial side was a breeze. I have been in a fair bit of pain for several days. I was extremely leery of wearing it for today's 18 hole round of golf without more testing, but I put it on and played my round. After some time on the driving range and my round I went home and going up and down stairs was dramatically easier than it has been for a few months at least. My only quibble would be with the time needed to adjust the straps but anything that works this well still earns 5 stars. I will be recommending this to anyone I know who needs help with knee problems. I wanted to get through this golf season before possible knee replacement. My osteoarthritis pain has been getting progressively worse over time. That appears to be the case for me. Thank you.

Just what the Dr ordered

This brace is exactly the same as one that my physical therapist has in her office for DOUBLE the amount of money. She let me use it until I got one of my own. The Game Changer just arrived today, and I have to say every single part of it is identical except for the brand name. I have a torn ligament but need to walk my dogs. This brace does the trick! I wear it under sweat pants because yes, it is bulky. I highly recommend!

Brace was too big and I am past the return window. The straps are bulky and difficult to adjust properly to fit since it is too big for my knee.

I am torn about the star rating to give because although it did not work out, it might help others. I bought this brace because my elderly mom has osteoarthritis damage on only the medial side of her knee. This sounded like just the solution. But even after trying this a couple times, it did not relieve the pain and she said it might have made it worse. The way the middle of the brace pushes inward was actually painful for her. She is sticking with her regular hinged knee brace from Walmart that seems to help somewhat.

Orthopedists will generally pooh-pooh such braces. They AREN'T as effective as a knee arthroplasty (or "replacement" for people with the problem for which this brace is appropriate - that is, osteoarthritis predominantly in one side of the knee - medial vs. lateral - and can be a bit of a pain-in-the-ass to fit, wear and adjust - but they can be useful to help get a few months of partial relief while waiting for surgery and doing some walking or work.I used this for my wife, and had some difficulty getting her to use it because fitting was a bit difficult and I couldn't persuade her to put up with it long enough to work out the basic adjustment - which is, how much to decrease the load on one compartment (the medial vs. the lateral) vs, the other. Then, a couple of weeks before the surgery but a month or so since I bought the brace, I nagged her into trying various adjustments long enough to assess the benefit. She finally agreed it did help "some" when she did extensive walking or chores. Now she's doing MUCH better after the surgery.

On my second week and it really does offload pressure from my stress fracture in the joint (tibial plateau fracture). I can walk and move without pain. My only criticism would be to have more explicit instructions, it took me two frustrating days to really figure out what I was doing with the thing. I made an extra trip to the orthopedist just to make sure but by then I had it figured out. The In and Out terms were confusing, I thought it related to clockwise and counterclockwise when adjusting (which it sort of does), but “In” really means moving the center of the brace toward the inside or middle of your body which takes pressure off the inner or medial side of your knee and “Out” means moving the center of the brace toward the outside of your body which takes pressure off the outside or lateral part of your knee. I’m not sure I explained it any better but it’s worth the time to figure out because once it is properly adjusted, it’s really a great product.

This product really is a game changer. You did exactly what they said. It was going to do. What a relief! I can postpone an unrelated surgery now for quite a while. What was most extraordinary is the support that I’ve gotten since. There have been a couple of issues with it as I wear this constantly. And each time they respond in the same day and resolve the issue immediately. I love professionalism and this company is definitely that. I highly recommend!
