Heart Lollipop Mold

the molds worked perfectly as a favor for my niece's birthday party. They are flimsy but that is exactly how you need them to be to pop the lollipop out of the mold. I kept them on a cookie sheet to freeze them (outside - very cold this winter so far) and it worked out perfectly. She was having a crafting party, I used paint brushes for the lollipop sticks.

Unlike the old aluminum molds I inherited from my mother, these silicone molds don't require the application of mineral oil. The hardened lollipops come out with very little effort. They take a little longer to harden, but I started putting them into the freezer for 10 minutes; that's enough time for them to harden and be ready to remove from the mold and be wrapped.

Molds work great - did not have much luck with the plastic sticks. Will use the molds with paper sticks. Made very cute lollipops for my son with several food allergies, who can't have store-bought lollipops.

The mold quality was perfect, the thickness is nice, the details on the roses were perfect. Item came in a timely manner and was the perfect size. I put a quarter in for scale

Way to go love for price and value. The sticks hold weather doing chocolate or hard candy.

I just started experimenting with making lollipops and the grandkids are thrilled. It’s actually a fun activity with my husband (although he hated the coffee batch, as he hates coffee!). We’re using regular sticks, as we can give them away without concern about having to buy more special sticks. I prefer longer sticks, as they look prettier in a short vase or maybe a mason jar. I found that they don’t NEED to be greased BUT doing so eliminates tiny bubbles, if that’s an issue for you, as it was for me. I used coconut oil, just in case there was any chance of flavor blend. I didn’t notice any. The molds washed clean with no lingering oily feel or scent of coconut. I also asked my dentist about making sugar free lollipops. She recommended xylitol as it will actually discourage tooth decay, and is the least likely to cause GI problems. I’ll need to find a recipe. I used a Lorann prepackaged SF which was easy but not cheap. (Less expensive on their site.) I also discovered that if you make two colors (and/or flavors) you can pour a little bit of a drizzle in the molds and let it cool. Then add the second color/flavor for a fancier look. Do it again on the back side, but find that sweet spot between too hot (when they’ll just melt together) and too cool (when the second one will just sit on top like a weird lump). It can become addictive!

I love these! I use them with barley candy and with chocolate. Easy to wash. Very popular with the grandkids!
