It worked perfectly.
I got this coin wrapper to try because, honestly, I have a LOT of change. Mason jars full of it. I never take my pocket change back out with me, I always clear my pockets of change. So it accumulates. Normally I end up either shoving it in mason jars or wrapping it in coin wrappers. I prefer the coin wrapper route, because of usability, obviously. If you plunk down a jar full of change and tell the cashier to "get countin", you're going to get some real unfriendly stares. So having your change in coin wrappers is a LOT more convenient...for both parties involved. And people smile at you more when you don't pay with jars of change. Anyway...I had to try this out, to see if this could shave some seconds from my coin wrapping chores. I have to admit, when I clicked the "order" button, I was like...coin wrapper crimper, huh? Kkkk....sounds gimmicky. As in, "As seen on TV!" gimmicky. But I try to be an open minded individual, and gave it the benefit of the doubt. As I sit here writing this, I have just finished using up every single quarter tube, every dime tube, and 3 of the 4 nickel tubes (I didn't have enough loose nickels for the last tube). $66 dollars in total. And how was the time savings, compared to the paper tubes that you unfold, stick your little finger inside, carefully balance the coins on the end of your finger, blah blah you know the routine...how was it? I am probably being conservative, when I say I was able to roll up those 11 tubes of coins, in the same amount of time that I could roll 5 rolls of coins the old fashioned way. It was, at the very least, 2x as fast. And much easier, too.Wow. Not so gimmicky after all, I guess. Guess sometimes you can't call em all. It arrived pretty much fully charged and ready to roll (heh heh heh...ready to roll...that works on so many levels). The only problem I really had, was the switch is flush with the handle and the same color so sometimes when I'd pick it up to use it, I'd have to turn it over a couple of times before I found the "on" switch. As a suggestion, at the least, the switch should be made from a different color plastic than the crimper. But honestly? I'd prefer a 2-trigger actuation that I could use ambidextrously without physically flipping the "on" switch. But as it is, just because the "on" switch is a bit hard to find because it blends in, it's such a minor gripe as to not warrant a star off. The rest is really good, too. It's nice and torquey, spins up pretty quicky, and has quite the generous battery. Rated at 5000mAh, that to me suggests 2x 2500mAh 18650 batteries inside. Which, used for crimping coin rolls, you literally should be able to crimp coin rolls for a whole 8 hour shift with this and still have power left over. 5000mAh is actually quite generous for a tool like this. And, happily, charged with good old USB C...not some stupid dinosaur micro-USB...not some goofy proprietary charger...but plain old USB C. Perfect.Let's wrap it all up...wrap it all up...did you see what I did there? I'm full of em tonight...to wrap it all up, what I thought was going to be not that great, turned out to be amazingly effective and a fantastic time saver. It's well built, has good power, and ample battery life. In short, this little tool kind of blew me away with how good it is. I hope they come out with a "Version 2.0" with a dual trigger control...it'd be PERFECT that way. It's almost perfect now. Perfect enough for 5 stars, anyway. Now, I need to get some more of those tubes...
