Smoky heat that's a great value
Love this seasoning. I mostly put it on my salads but also other dishes (like potatoes, veggies, dips, etc.) to add a subtle warm heat and to give them more complex flavors. A little goes a long way so it takes us quite a while to use up the bottle (shaker top is easy to use to just use a little at a time). Very happy I found this product, I had no idea it existed until I read a recipe that mentioned it (or saw a cooking show that did, I forget which). Good stuff!

Amazing!
This is by far the most flavorful pepper ever. It's earthy, smoky, and tangy, and has a very mild, but lingering kick. I would describe it as sort of a cross between paprika and crushed red pepper. The capsicum (hotness) is evident, but is so mild as to be a tease. The flavor is addictive. Makes you want to eat it right out of the bottle.

The search is over ...
Exactly what I was looking for ... Took me a while to sift through all the other products claiming to be Urfer Biber yet had added Salt and Oils on the ingredients label. This looks like the real deal, the ingredients are simply stated as 'Chille Pepper' and the Nutrition Facts label states for a 2g serving: 5 cals, 1 gram total carbs, fiber <1 gram, Calcium 4% and Iron 15% and zeros for anything else (yes, zero Sodium too). See Picture. While still pricey for its size, this appears to be reasonable value for money compared to others that were easily the same price but for much less product and of questionable authenticity because of the added oils and salt. For me, this is an essential ingredient in authentic Adana & Urfa kebabs, check out the pictures - Superbly Delicious !! Update: Just received my 2nd order, almost finished my first purchase - can't risk running out of this.

It's delicious and versatile
The flavor is very good, with just the right amount of heat. I use it on many things, as I have with other Aleppo peppers bought in the past. It's a little "cloggy" in humid weather, even though I put plastic wrap between the cap and the bottle.

Step aside Aleppo pepper, this is the new chile flake for me
I bought this Urfa Biber after coming across a baked egg recipe that called for a dusting on top. Previously I had been using Aleppo pepper in a lot of the savory dishes that I cook; I love its frutiness and tangy heat, and I go through it at a pretty rapid clip because it's just that good. Now I've found a new all-purpose pepper. Urfa is sort of similar to Aleppo pepper, texture-wise. The taste is remarkable--smoky, fruity, a little spicy, and just all-around delicious. A little sprinkle on top will enhance any number of savory dishes--casseroles, scrambled eggs, mac n' cheese, pasta, and more.

Seal was broken :/
The seal under the cap was not sealed. Not sure if this product was completely new, or was actually a return and re-sold to me. Contents were all sort of moist and clumping together, not what I’d expect for pepper flakes and perhaps because freshness seal wasn’t secure so air and moisture could get in, or maybe that’s just normal for this product (my first time purchasing this). Sort of gross, but keeping anyway because I can’t find this for sale in any of my local grocery stores.

took me a while to figure out how to use this pepper, but it's a great pepper
delicious, mildy spicy (to me) pepper. It's in the same spice level as aleppo pepper or hot paprika. It also has a faint salinity (to my taste) WITHOUT HAVING SALT ADDED. The heat level offers a lot of flexibility in how you can use it and how much flavor you can get without getting too much heat.

Use this pepper in place of black pepper
I originally purchased this pepper to use in a couple of recipes I wanted to try. Before adding it to the dish initially i had a taste test, it was love at first taste. I now use it in place of black pepper in most dishes. The fresh earthy smoky flavor is wonderful. Literally, use it on anything - tuna fish sandwich, egg salad, fresh fish, grilled chicken…just experiment, it’s that good.
