Kabuto Noodles Chicken Pho, 65 g

When these arrived. I thought Oooh my new gluten free noodles, Mmmm nom nom.More like nope nope. Not a big deal but one of the 4 I bought was damaged upon delivery. But despite the seal being broken, I'm a reasonable person and assumed one of the other food items had fallen against it and broke the foil seal. So i thought ok just eat it today.That's where my problems started.1 I added the hot water, left it for 4 minutes and boom!This extremely harsh chemical smell (like kitchen surface cleaning products) started filling the room.I assumed it was the smell of the pot/container being heated up so next time i'd put them in a bowl.Same thing happened.2. It was so incredibly spicy, and nowhere on their super-fun joke filled modern language marketing did it say "SUPER SPICY OMG WHAT!!!" It says chicken ginger and lime.3. No matter how much I stirred, no flavouring seemed to appear.Afterwards I later realised the flavouring was at the bottom stuck in big hard chunks.Again, not really a big deal. I just thought, Oh ok the seal probably broke ages ago and I've actually just eaten really REALLY stale food.Unfortunately, a repeat the next day of the second pot was exactly the same.Really not happy at all. And i'd like my money back.

I've ordered 4 pots of this brand(this is the first flavour I've tried so far) and I'm quite disappointed.1. The flavour is severely lacking, in this case it was actually a good thing because I didn't like the flavour anyway but if you DO like the flavour then you will not be happy with how weak these tasted.2. The intruction is to fill the pot to the ridge on the inside... that ridge is like 5% off the top of the pot, I feel like it is way too much water to use and maybe contributes to the lack of flavour, by the time you finish the noodles you have half a pot of water which might be something to look forward to if you like the flavour, I had to skip out on this one.3. This specific pot was slightly opened on delivery causing some of the powder to be spread amoungst the package on my other orders that shared the box. It definitely wasn't enough to contribute to the lack of flavour before you ask.Honestly I'd say that the flavour wasn't weak after tasting the broth but this is a noodle dish first and foremost. The rice noodles tasted of nothing, carried no flavour, and were just in my opinion inferior to egg noodles in everyway.I do hope my other 3 pots are not such a disappointment as they are all egg noodles and probably flavours I will appreciate.

Great noodles, great flavours and a wonderfully wide range. Sadly, since I can't really choose which items on my grocery list is split in which boxes it's just luck if they are packed with something heavy like cans. You'll just have to hope they don't get crushed, and they aren't handled roughly.

Spent a while trying to find a pot noodle that I like well enough for quick lunches. Hubby introduced me to Kabuto. Very tasty rice noodles, which I prefer over egg noodles. Just the right amount of flavouring without overwhelming the dish. Eat to make - just pour on hot water, sit and stir.

Arrived open but not covered by return policy so basically a rip off.

These are really tasty and filling. Very easy to prepare - boiling water to top of container for 4 mins, stir then another 1 minute wait. Makes for a very nourishing and satisfying snack or even meal as its a very generous portion. I'm trying all the flavours, have to say Vegetable Laska is my Number 1. This one is less spicy than some. I don't normally buy prepared meals like this but I find then very handy when you want something tasty, warming and quick.
