I "tend bar" for an informal biweekly cocktail gathering and am expected to come up with a mix of old favorites and new drinks. A few weeks ago, it was a "French Blonde." A what? Apparently it's (supposedly) Taylor Swift's favorite cocktail. And it calls for four dashes of lemon bitters. Good luck finding lemon bitters at the supermarket! Fee Brothers to the rescue. I would not be all that surprised to find kumquat bitters somewhere in their vast inventory. I've actually driven by their HQ in Rochester, NY - next time I'm there I should stop in for a visit. Personally I had a negroni, but the fans loved their French Blondes and pronounced the bright lemon flavor perfect. I later made one for myself and yeah, it was a very good drink. And yup, the lemon flavor as excellent.

Schweppes used to make a wonderful Bitter Lemon that was my favorite mixer. Then they stopped making it but Canada Dry then made it. Then Canada Dry stopped making it and Polar starting making it. Now, no one makes it. I was trying to figure out how to mimic it and I saw these lovely Lemon Bitters on Amazon and bought it! I just made myself a tall Vodka and tonic with a few drops of this bitter lemon and OMG! It tastes like 1976! The only thing missing from my cocktail is a bit of lemon zest and I will be sure to get some lemons and add that too! Fee Brothers is the best! The taste and the smell is great and I am so grateful to them….now, if only Dana would bring back British Sterling Bitter Lemon Cologne, I would think I was in Heaven! CHEERS!

Taylor Swift’s apparent favorite cocktail— a French blonde, tastes the BEST with a dash of these bitters. 2 oz lillet blanc, 2 oz grapefruit juice, 1 oz gin, 1/2 oz elderflower liqueur, and a dash of lemon bitters YUM

I thought this would work for a substitute for Schweppes Bitter Lemon since you can't get it where I live but it's not the same flavor. Still good though, but not what I was looking for.

Buyer beware… You cannot return this item if it shows up like it did for me. Product leaking out of it. Seal was not good.
