Sofucor 52" Smart Ceiling Fan, Indoor/Outdoor Ceiling Fans with Lights and Remote, Compatible with Alexa/Google/App, 3-Color Light 6-Speed Timing Reversible DC Motor for Bedroom Living Room Patio

We live in Oklahoma, so summers can be brutal. Purchased this to replace a 15 year old Harbor Breeze AC ceiling fan in a 17.5ft x 13.6ft room, the fan speed was controlled by a NuTone Solid State Variable Speed control mounted on the wall.Several reasons for replacement, at lower speeds the motor has started to hum a lot, and also wanted remote control with timer functions.This fan exceeded my expectations, it pushes out plenty off air, and most of the time we are only using the lowest speed out of the 6, and it's almost inaudible, at full speed it does makes some noise, but most of that is wind noise, not from the motor, and that is to be expected.The light is dimmable and has 3 color types, so covers most things for most people.The remote is well thought out, when wiring it up, I no longer needed the variable control, and the remote comes with a face plate that fits perfectly over the single gang size plate used for the old controller, and the remote clips into it, this is a simple but great feature.Installation was super easy, and the ceiling hanging plate and hardware is thicker and stronger than the old Harbor Breeze one, and this fan is lighter as well, so no worries about durability.All of the materials seem to be of a decent quality and thickness, I was surprised at this price point, and it would be hard to justify spending more, not sure what more you would be getting.The app (Android - Smart Things) is simple but works well, it did notice that the app offer a couple of extra timer options 6 and 8hr.It integrated well with Alexa, which to be honest, I will not probably use as I don't want to be talking to Alexa in the middle of the night and waking my wife up, much better to use the remote or app, but is nice to have.Only thing to be aware of, if you lose the remote, there is no traditional wall switch option, so you want to keep hold of the remote.I left the the wall on/off wall switch in circuit, as it's very useful if you need to isolate the fan, and I believe is code in some areas anyway, but we basically leave it in the on position all the time, so there is a little habit adjustment to do there, but this is where that simple face plate holder for the remote comes really handy.Wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.

My wife wanted to replace the 4 ceiling fans in our house with new fans that had a built in light in them. I did some researching on Amazon and found this item. It was exactly what we were looking for. The fan has a very modern & unique blade design, a built in LED lighting system and a remote control. It came in the standard configuration as well as the SMART configuration for a few dollars more where it can be controlled by your phone via an app. The fan had lots of good reviews and we decided to give it a try.We ordered 4 of them. Three had the white blades and the 4th (pictured with this review) had the tan colored blades to match the colors in our rooms.When the fans arrived you could immediately see how well & securely they were packed. The fan was a lightweight, quality unit with a unique LED light system that was very easy to assemble and install.I have installed about 40 different fans in my lifetime and on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most difficult, this fan system was about a 3 in difficulty.Of the 4 fan/light systems that we installed, 3 worked perfectly with the remote that came with each fan, but the remote on the 4th fan did not work properly. It needed to be re-bound to the received of that fan and I found the binding directions to be a bit confusing. I sent an email to the manufacturer, SOFUCOR, who responded within hours and clarified the binding procedure for me. With this new information the remote bound itself to fan #4 perfectly and now I had all four fans working properly.I could not be happier with the look & performance of these fans! They are super quiet with a soft to powerful airflow and 3 different color temperatures of the LED light to choose from, along with the light's dimming function. At it's full brightness it is very bright for any large household room. I have to say that, so far, this was one of the best purchases we have made in a long time.PS: In case anyone gets this fan and has issues with the binding procedure of the remote here is how you do it:1. Open the back of the remote and get a small tool that you can use to later use to press the tiny LEARN button in the inside top left side of the remote.2. Turn OFF the power supply to the fan for at least 5 seconds.3. Turn ON the power supply, (when you do this the fan's light will turn on). NOTE that when turning ON the power supply make sure that the remote is in the vicinity of the fan & WITHIN 5 SECONDS of turning on the power, press the LEARN button for a least 3 seconds until the light either flashes or turns off.4. At this point the remote should be bound to the fan's receiver.This is a stand up company and will answer any questions or concerns that you may have. I'm a happy customer.

This is a beautiful and very quiet fan. However it took my husband about 4 to 5 hours to hang. The mounting rack didn’t match our hole in the ceiling so it took extra work to figure out how to mount it. Also, at the end it was difficult to get the last piece on covering the wires because there were so many wires to get contained in the small space.I will say that this was his first time installing a ceiling fan so next time it will go a lot quicker!I love this fan with all the bright lights that can be dimmed with the remote so for me it was definitely worth the extra effort!
