great product. more for the experienced auto detailer. especially with the matte coating. can only be used on matte paint finishes. repels water and protects for a long time with basic wash and reload maintenance . I have cars out in the field that those compnysa product has lasted 3-4 years with basic wash and reload maintenance

Super easy product to use. Doesn’t leave a shine which is what you want. Durability only time will tell

Absolutely nothing about this. Would cause it to be exclusively for use on matte finishes.!! I used it on Glass, worked fine. I used it on headlights, worked fine. I used it on a windshield, works fine. I used it on matte paint, worked fine. This is a good product, but it is more an expensive bottle of marketing than anything else.

As a former detailer I love car care products and I am new to Gyeon. I did have any matte cars, but I did have a car with matte rims. The best thing about this product is that it is VERY user friendly, it has a long open time so no hurry. I removed the entire rim from the car, cleaned and scrubbed with dawn soap, dried, then final wipe down using Gyeon's Prep, then coated per the instructions. Going on was super easy and I found it difficult to make the normal high spot mistakes. I let sit a few min and then lightly buffed with a clean microfiber. Let sit a hour and put back on the car. They really came out well, I even got some other Gyeon products that worked well also. I am new to Gyeon but I have been very impressed with their products so far. I have done the first wash after coating and water just beads off of them, and makes then easier than ever to clean. They initially for a small 'shine' from the coating but as it drys it goes back to a deeper looking matte. Excellent protection, good price point for how much you get, excellent product.

I've only used one other DIY ceramic coating product before this and it wasn't specific to matte finish but it was applied to a matte finish. This stuff works just as well but I'm not sure what advantage it has over others being that it's specifically designed for matte finishes. It was easy to use with the included applicator. Better applicator than the other brand I tried. That was just a tiny piece of thin cloth. This kit comes with a sponge applicator which is easier to use when applying. Once everything was applied, again, not sure on how much of a difference it made to the finish in appearance but it does have a different feel on the surface. Only time will tell how long it will last and keep up protection of the original finish.

I ordered this to refresh the ceramic coating on my car's matte PPF, and it worked exactly as needed. The PPF was due for recoating, and this brought back the hydrophobic properties to like-new condition. Water beads and sheets off beautifully again. Application was straightforward following the instructions to apply heavier on PPF than you would on regular paint. I found this to be accurate - the film does absorb more product, so I made sure to apply an even, generous layer before buffing. The coating went on smoothly and didn't add any unwanted gloss to the matte finish, which was my main concern. I applied inside my garage and did not have any odor issues. For anyone maintaining matte PPF or vinyl, this is a solid choice that delivers the protection and water repellency you need without changing the appearance -- and all at a great price. Recommended for PPF maintenance.

It's a small and expensive bottle, so you'll want to follow the directions exactly to avoid waste. It wouldn't call applying it especially difficult, but it does require focus and following directions. It's not something to slop on and hope for the best. The results look excellent on matte surfaces. (It also looks good on carbon fiber; I used left over on a part of my matte carbon fiber bicycle frame). It is hydrophobic as advertised.
