I got this for my dad who has dementia and other issues. About six months after he stopped walking, I noticed his butt cheeks were getting very red every time I took him to the bathroom, and so I got very concerned. He spends most of his life in a recliner chair, and I did not want to deal with bed sores. Well, it's been almost two years now, and this Lunderg alternating air pressure pad has been running pretty much 24/7, and everything is functioning great. The compressor got just a little louder after a few months, but it's still really quiet and functions without issue. Also, the alternating pressure doesn't seem to interfere with his sleep since the pressure change is so subtle. I gotta say, I did not think this pressure pad would be so reliable and helpful. People are very surprised that my dad has no bed sores on his body. This pressure pad was worth every single penny. I'm so glad I decided to buy it, for it has mitigated so many serious potential issues. Honestly, this is a must-have for anyone that spends most of their life in a bed or chair.

Seams to be making my wife’s 14-18 hours everyday in her recliner more comfortable, but it smelled very bad when it was unpacked. Had to air out the cover for several days before she could tolerate the smell. Other wise it would have been a 5 star

My mom was resorting to sleeping in a recliner due to severe pain issues. While we are working dealing with those issues so we can get her back to comfortably sleeping in bed, she started to develop a pressure ulcer. I immediately started searching for something to help her out while she was in the recliner and this seemed like a great product and an affordable option to try. And I was able to return it if she didn't like it, and my mom is in a lot of pain, so I wasn't sure she would like it. It arrived the next day, was easy to set up and fit her recliner well. She really had no adjustment period and is able to tolerate the alternating pressure right from the start, but that would depend on each person. She has it on every time she is in the recliner. I showed this product to the doctor at the wound clinic and she thought it was great, along with getting a gel cushion for any other chair she would sit in, such as the dining room chair. Her pressure sore has greatly improved with treatment and all of these changes in the last 2 weeks. For anyone who needs to spend any length of time in a recliner, I highly recommend getting this to prevent this from happening in the first place. It really is a great investment!

It's just like they use at the hospitals. You only need to set it on the softest setting to find some relief from being stationary.

Love it Game changer for my96 yo father

This thing is horrible. I have pressure sores on my tailbone area from loosing a bunch of weight. This has done nothing but make the problem wrose. It never relives the pressure on that area no matter how I sit or the setting I use. I may need a refund for this.Edit: While the product may not have worked out well for me, the company behind this product is simply outstanding. They see that this product wasn't working for me and offered me an immediate and full refund. You cannot ask any more than that from any company. They stand behind their products. Thank you very much. While this product didn't work out for me. I would absolutely buy other products from this company.

The use of this product has resulted in significant improvement of pressure sore discomfort, but it is not a cure yet. Replaces static pressure pillows in many locations, but needing electrical power, it is somewhat inconvenient by comparison. I have a feeling that I may soon be purchasing another one for my needs, though.
