As I've gotten older, I've grown to appreciate them even more because a lot of the humor was actually over my head as a kid. Although I've noticed that with most cartoons, especially the Looney Tunes cartoons. You really do have to experience them as an adult to really get it fully. The programs were so very clever especially the way they used animals as appliances or whatever. The expressions and some of the songs were so funny....I mean who can forget...."Keep your hobby hubby, keep your hubby happy, when he's a little chubby, he's the happy pappy.....with Glockenschpiel!!!" I also love the episode when Barney wins a houseboat on "The Prize is Priced". Fred and Barney couldn't decide on a name for the boat so they took the first three letters of one name and the last three letter of another name to come up with NAU-SEA!! You can't tell me people aren't influenced by this stuff since I can attest that I saw an actual boat last summer with that name written exactly as it is on the cartoon, hypen and all!! Yeah, I love this stuff. It's just a lot of fun and who can't use a good laugh in these pitiful times!! Go for it!!!!!

Season 1 and season 2 are the best seasons because they are B
Season 1 and season 2 are the best seasons because they are B.P. (before Pebbles). The season 1 and season 2 episodes are clearly tailored for an adult audience - which is what the cartoon was intended for. The Flintstones was the first cartoon to be shown on primetime TV.- Friday evenings at 8:30pm. The first half of season 3 is also good, but the episodes in the second half of season 3 are written around Pebbles impending arrival and finally her birth. The season 4 thru season 6 episodes were clearly yailored for a younger audience and the timeslot was changed from 8:30pm to 7:30pm.

PREHYSTERICALLY FUNNY FAMILY!
This is one of my favorite Animated Series and I am glad I got each Season in a separate box, better Packaging. It seems like it gets better with each year, every Episode is beautifully restored and Looks and Sounds Great! All the 32 Episodes in 4 DVDs have that Old Big Band Theme Song, no singing the Familiar Song here, that changes in the Third Season, I did Posted the Lyrics, however, Old Theme Song or New I enjoy watching the Flintstones and the Rubbles with their childish Plots and Pranks, they are a lot of Fun! Thank You

I absolutely love the Flintstones
Just as I remembered them! I absolutely love the Flintstones, in particular the early episodes. I an still amazed at the sophistication of the stories. Despite the fact that some of the social realities are dated (e.g., Wilma becomes "the happy housewife", asserting her independence, only AFTER she and Fred argue over money - the fact that she is financially dependent upon him is a throwback to another reality and time), the story lines couldn't be written better. They are a reflection of American cultural values (and stereotypes) located within a stone age context. The stories and characters/actors are witty, the humor is incisive, and I adore them.

Enjoy having and watching this great cartoon I grew up with. As an Amazon Prime Member I love the perks I receive. Also, the price of most Instant Videos makes them very affordable. Also, once purchased I can watch at my convenience. Really loving this perk. The Flinstones hold nice memories and I honestly still laugh out loud. Great fun and also relaxing when I want to sleep. En el empaque indica que viene con audio en español, sin embargo esto no es así, solo viene con subtítulos en español y los discos vienen uno encima del otro lo que resta puntos a ésta edicion Me gustaría que volvieran a vender esta colección con audio en español ya que es muy entretenida saludos

I grew up watching the Flintstones. I would run home at lunch time noon and watch them . I never thought i would have the complete set of dvds to watch over and over again . So now every day at 5:00pm i watch two shows of the Flintstones.Thanks.

Anyone who grew up when I did loved The Flintstones. These Season #2 episodes are fun to revisit.
