GPS spots
Right, where do I start. After a very dissapointing and stressful time at the start of purchasing this boat I am pleased to say i am finally happy (baring in mind this is a £1000 boat!) The problem I had and it seems with most people at the start there were issues with saving spots using the GPS. You could drive the boat out to locations, save the spots on remote or app fine. The problem lied with when you turned the boat off you then lost those spots. With that I contacted ND and spoke to a very polite yet not quite perfect spoken English person and told them my problems. The first said to keep the boat on, to which I thought was rediculous anyway but after an hour the remote has automatic switch off function and you're back to square one. More emails later I kept getting told to save the locations with no guidance whatsoever. Flicked through the very basic manual 100 more times. Nothing! At this point I'm getting angry and asking for a refund!!! Frustrated. More emails later, i Eventually I get told that you save your spots using spot manager on the app!? This was the first id heard or seen of it. Short story, You drive out and save your spots like normal using app or remote, once youve done that on the top right of the app you have "your spots" press save and then choose a name e.g the lake you're fishing. Press OK and its done. Now you can turn everything off. When it comes to getting those spots back to remote simply turn everything back on including app. You then go to "your spots" again an select load instead of save. It then comes up with the list of your saved spots and simply select one. The app then syncs with remote and puts them all back on the remote, stick it in the water and away you go. After a month of back and forth getting nowhere I dont understand why someone couldnt of mentioned this much sooner or even better put it in the manual! Nevertheless I used the boat last night armed with all the right information this time and the boat worked a treat :)) absolutely no hassle and now very very simple to use and save spots. I can't wait to take it to France and show it off.

It looks like i am not alone I bought this Bait boat ...
It looks like i am not alone I bought this Bait boat on the 3 June and returned it to Amazon today 28th June. Autopilot didn't register, first problem. Hopper 'B' didn't always open. Hook release struggled to get hook on. i still was determined to get the hang of this boat until on the last 3 day session i turned it on for one motor to continually run.my opinion their on to a good idea but it needs a lot more development before these boats are put on sale. At near £1000 don't bother until they rectify these problems. If they research these problems with Carp fishermen and resolve them 100% they should take them off the shelf as they are not fit for purpose (YET)shame really the idea is greati have to say that although i had problems with this bait boat ND Tackle have taken what i have said and are in the process of checking all new boats thoroughly before they leave the factory.they are researching the product all the time.looks like i sent mine back in haste.

First Impression of the N D 2 bait boat.
Bought this boat as I have never used a bait boat in the passed, after reading review after review on numerous makes and styles of boat I decided on the N D 2. First impression is that it looks great and is built to a high standard not unlike some of the cheaper model which look very poor quality and made of cheap plastic. Yet to use the boat so hopefully it won’t disappoint.

Awful boat not ready for sale
Very disappointed at what I hoped was going to be an amazing new product. I bought the boat for£950 from Amazon after reading all the posts on Facebook I was shocked when it actually arrived. I opened up the box and initially I was impressed, I thought it resembled an Aston Martin, and couldn’t wait to take it to France for my annual fishing trip.On the first day I had issues, firstly I have had and or used several different bait boats over many years so kinda think I know what a good or bad boat is. So first day didn’t want to use my new IPhone on the side of the lake with wet and bait covered hands so decided to use the mini handset. The one that you also are not supposed to get wet?! I was going to purchase a cheap android pad later just for the boat.I got the boat out closed the hopper doors and I calibrated the compass, all fine, was a bit difficult sussing out the combination of buttons to press to get it to save home. Had to go back to the awful A4 sheet of paper folded in half that was supposed to be the manual for this £1000 boat!Retrieved the boat and went to load my bait into the boat. I instantly noticed a major design flaw that I had previously overlooked in excitement about having gps etc. The handle is well below the hopper extension if you filled the boat to the max you would not be able to pick it up! But I thought no probs I don’t use much bait anyway so chucked in a spoonful to see that it is very awkward to load without covering the handle in smelly sticky bait. I then went to place my hook in the hook dropper. The one that some idiot designed to be in a little recess on the back of the boat. You need to have the fingers of a small child or be using massive sea hooks to use this and not get frustrated!Drove to my first spot, again struggling with a different button combination. Then pressed home to watch the boat go in the opposite direction to home and take a massively long route home via the next swim to my left luckily an empty one. It was then the second rod same again and a weird long route home that I had to interrupt as it was going straight for my rods, third ( kinda got the hang of it here and saved it a little easier but still had to do it slowly to not make a mistake. Then home again the same long route into the next swim first. These swims are not close together at leat 40 yards apart! Then having to interrupt it to save the rods again. When you do interrupt the home function you are having to fight the auto home unless you completely cancel home order. I then like you would do on any other boat I switched it off to save the batteries while it’s not being used.An hour later I needed to send out one of the rods and put out my fourth rod. I switched the boat on NO SPOTS. I thought I had done something wrong so set up home again sent out my rod saved the spot drove the boat back home manually, sent out next one saved spot. Then I pressed home for it to go to one of the previous spots out in the middle of the lake that it had deleted??Getting a bit annoyed drove it back manually and saved home AGAIN. But I have at least got two spots saved again. Switched off boat to save batteries.Later had to use it again. I turned it on NO SPOTS arrrggghhhhhh!Right must have to use my phone and the app! Loaded it up, all good, boat showed up on app. Went to pick a spot to go to but couldn’t as the app kept centring on the boat and would not let me select anywhere I could not see. Mostly choices of spots on the bank! I drove manually and managed to save some spots including home onto the app. When I pressed the home button this time it didn’t know where to go it just sat in the middle of the lake adjusting itself. I had to drive it back manually. Turned off the boat.Next time I went to use it I checked the app, sweet my spots are still there. Turned on the boat to see the spots disappear! What?!?! Thought I must have a fault so contacted customer services, to be fair they did come back to me pretty quick. While trying to have a conversation with someone that English is not their first and probably judging by some of the replies not their second language either I was told I had to leave the boat on for it to not delete my spots! Wtf leave it on that’s going to be great for the batteries and the boat. So I did what they said and for a while it worked ok even if it didn’t want to come home. Or when it did come home it would be trying to destroy the lines I’d put out or coming in at such a speed it was going to smash itself to pieces on the wooden swim boards. After being told to leave it on noticed they have installed an automatic off function on the handset. When the handset switched off the boat would try and go home while sat on the bank!Knowing that I now had to leave it on to use it I thought I’d better give it an overnight full charge ready to use properly on my second day of the trip. So packed it up took it to the house to charge as stupidly you have to charge the boat not the batteries. I know there are spare batteries being released but I think 22 flat head soft stainless steel screws are not suitable for being constantly removed and then tightened. 22 screws is not what I would call changeable batteries.Day two I’ve got the boat all charged up and started using it again with no probs really except the not wanting to go home thing and being annoyed from not being able to use it last night due to having to charge it. One of the main benefits of having a gps boat is being able to go to your spots in the dark and auto pilot home.I then noticed the hopper doors kept on sticking after being released so I had a closer look at them to notice rust on one of the magnets. It had only been used in the water for one day! I decided to contact ND tackle again to be told basically so what it’s only the outer casing of the magnets and it makes no difference that the hopper doors stick together. It’s basic science that they would cause more drag in the water at the angle they were sticking! I said I was not happy with the rusty magnets after spending so much on the boat. They said they would send me parts so I could fix it myself! ThanksI decided to contact Amazon to see if I could get a refund when I returned home. It was a good job I did as the boat after being left on shut down and would not turn back on. I contacted ND tackle to have them make me take apart every single piece of the boat using a leatherman in my bivvy at the lake. Taking it apart I knew I didn’t want this boat anymore as it was clear it was a cheap Chinese rip off. It no longer resembled an Aston Martin but a Ford Mondeo! It had been originally put together badly the screws already looked as if they were old and had been tightened with the wrong screwdriver. They could not find the fault and agreed to refund me too. After a while of being sat in the sun it powered up again so obviously it cannot handle even the slightest bit of damp air. After this I had no confidence in it staying on so I could not risk using it again.Even the case fell apart! Oh and they decided that the fragile handset should now not have its own case but should be left rattling around in the case for the plugs and leads. This boat could not have been tested properly and definitely is not ready for sale it in my opinion has been rushed out and needs a lot more development. Since they have added a spot manager to the app. But why put all that technology in the boat but not a memory! not everyone wants to use their phones and I noticed it eats your phone battery too so you’d be back to NO SPOTS aaarrrrggghhh before your boat batteries died! I had more issues with this boat but this review is now long enough I think.Very disappointed I was very excited about this boat!! It was a lot of money to invest. I’ve also had contact from a few other unhappy customers!!
