Perfection in a small package
I recently got my hands on the RK ROYAL KLUDGE R75 Mechanical Keyboard, and I have to say, it has quickly become one of my favorite pieces of tech! The 75% TKL layout is perfectly compact, giving me more desk space while still providing all the essential keys I need for both gaming and typing. One of the standout features for me is the volume knob—it's so convenient to adjust the sound without fumbling with software or keyboard shortcuts. The RGB backlighting is stunning and really customizable through the software, allowing me to set the mood for gaming sessions or just to add some flair to my workspace. The gasket mount design makes the typing experience incredibly satisfying, providing a nice, cushioned feel with every keystroke. I opted for the hot-swappable silver switches, and I love how easy it is to customize the feel of the keyboard. The PBT keycaps feel durable and add a premium touch; they don’t seem to wear down or shine like cheaper plastics.Overall, I’m thrilled with the RK R75. It combines functionality with a sleek design, making it perfect for both gamers and typists alike. If you’re looking for a high-quality mechanical keyboard that won’t take up too much space, I can’t recommend this one enough!

Honestly so Happy
The media could not be loaded. The keyboard is very lovely in design. The colours are beautiful and the RBG lights are lovely feature. The keys feel soft and are very nice to type with. The sound is amazing and it’s even softer IRL.Nice and compact. Appears sturdy and well built.Comes with extra switches.Only negative is the instructions are slightly difficult to understand

as described. lovely keyboard but isn't QMK (which I assumed it was)
I was expecting to be able to plug this thing in and do the usual pantomime in VIA by pulling the R75 QMK .json file from the RK website, loading it as a new definition and customising the keyboard with my usual macros. The keyboard shows up in via as an R75 and you get to load the json but you never get the keyboard in the VIA app to map. It took me a few moments of messing about before I realised this is what happens when the device isn't a QMK device. But I bought an R75, right, and they're QMK programmable, right. Erm... wrong. After doing some digging on redit and places I realised that RK DO NOT MAKE IT VERY CLEAR if a model has QMK firmware or not. In fact an R75 is an R75 regardless of QMK or not, i.e. it's the same model number and everything but unless they specify QMK in the item description (which isn't mentioned here so I can't really argue) then the keyboard will use the old skool propriety windows driver (which sucks as I use only a Mac / Linux in my day to day use). I'm really not happy about this and the fact that it is not made clear that there are multiple versions of the same product with completely different firmware.Rant over, it's a nice keyboard, with lovely feeling keys and as proper old skool, "thuk" to they keys. It reminds me of the kind of experience I had back in the 1980s when typing on something like an Acord Electron. The volume button is a nice touch and I think you can still do a lot of customisation of the RGB lighting and stuff without the software by using the function button to cycle through patterns. The most bizarre thing though is that the letters are priunted onto the key caps like normal. So what's the point of the RGB anyway as if it is dark you cannot see the light coming through the letters on the keys like you can with the R65 etc.The keyboard might take a bit of getting used to if , like me, you're a bit fat fingered as the actuation point of the switches is fairly high and so not a lot of force is needed to "press" a key which leads to me mashing a few keys together sometimes, but that's probably a me problem as I'm not the most dexterous at the best of times. I love the feel and sound of the keys though, it's lovely. They caps also feel so much nicer than any of the other mech keyboards i've had including the R65. I feel a bit bad for knocking a star off but it should be clear whether a system uses one firmware or another if you sell essentially different boards with the same model number. But hey.I was in two minds whether to return the keyboard and get a QMK one later but I think I'll just keep this and probably use it for taking to work and non-gaming related tasks, but we'll see. If you're fine with the windows config software then of course this will not be a problem for you.

Perfection
Of the 2 keyboards I have this one is the best, switches feel greet and sound amazing, it feels durable and the rgbs are great too, fully customisable so if you don't like the creamy thocky stock switches or keycaps you can swap them right out, amazing budget keyboard for beginners

satisfying mechanical keyboard
This is my first time buying a mechanical keyboard, and I've done a lot of research and comparison before deciding to buy the Royal Kludge—green. It's safe to say it's the best purchase ever. The keyboard is the perfect size, the sound is so satisfying and the RGB light function is easy to use. highly recommend!

i’ve been desperately searching for a green keyboard with a good price to match my set up and it’s been perfect. i love the sound and you can change the rgb to a more pastel tone and it’s beautiful.

Great
This is so much better than anything I've tried before and I have a top of the line razer keyboard as well.It sounds very good with no rattle, seems well built and it's easy to change settings without using any software. The knob is very useful but could use a little texture on the side.My only gripe is that the RGB light doesn't shine through the keycaps so it's pretty useless to see in the dark which is the only reason I'd want lights on it, but as described so no issues.
