Good, but a bit expensive. Great if you're a mega fan!
Great quality in terms of build and aesthetics. In comparison to Airpods, the sound is flatter and much more clear in the mids and vocal range, making it almost similar to in ear monitors in terms of sound stage. Not nearly as wide stage wise as other wireless headphones, but in terms of clarity and track separation, they're much better than Airpods. ANC is good, ambient is okay but it works! The touch controls are surprisingly intuitive, but they do take some getting used to. The stem of airpods just make more sense in terms of ergonomics, but the place you tap on your earbud in order to swap modes or listen to voice lines is sensitive enough for you to not feel like you're jamming the things deep into your ear canal. The case these headphones are in is really nice, lightweight but not super cheap feeling. There's a little latch that holds them shut, so hopefully if I drop these the headphones won't go spilling underneath a car like with my airpods. As a hardcore milgram fan and an audiophile with some pretty hefty equipment, these earbuds are really good for relaxing and doing some critical listening to music without having to get my whole setup going. I haven't noticed a significant difference to the capture of specific higher end audio frequencies in relation to airpods. Are they worth 200 dollars? In terms of audio PURELY, there are similar for a way lower price range. But you buy these for the customizable voice lines and the surprisingly good out of the box tuning by DECO. As a mega fan who loves music, buying HEADPHONES built to look like something from a musical ARG is super cool and something I couldn't miss.If you do decide to bite the bullet, the app is really finicky, and a bit of a pain, but it does work for me now after opening and closing the app post synch with the headphones.Overall, I'm definitely impressed by a surprisingly robust listening experience, but if you're looking for hardcore sub-bass these are not for you. These are definitely made for rock adjacent genres. Though you do get a lot out of the range they provide for electronic focused music. These will probably end up being used as analytical and critical listening headphones for when I can't be bothered to sit at my desk or use wired headphones. Not sure how durable all the decals and finish on these headphones are, so I'll probably keep them at home for my own fun.
