Works great for installing Linux distros
I have a Chromebook that's so old, Chrome OS updates are no longer available for it. The hardware is nothing to write home about and the storage space is minimal. Despite all of this, I really like the form factor, how light and quiet it is, and how easy it is to throw in a bag and take with me wherever I go. It would be perfect with a fast, light OS on it. I decided to make this thing a test case for various Linux and Chrome-based OSes. Mint worked well but I ran out of room. One of the flavors of aftermarket Chrome OS was just too light for what I do. Every time I wanted to try out a new distro, I'd end up reflashing a hard drive with Rufus, which works fine but is far from ideal. I wanted to dump a bunch of ISOs into a single, large thumb drive and be able to choose which one to install. I found a piece of software called Ventoy that would allow me to do just that-- boot up to a menu and pick an ISO. Now I just needed a hard drive large enough for several ISOs to fit. And here it is. I've used PNY drives before so I trust them a lot more than one of the no-name "bargain" drives that you can find very inexpensively. I'm not storing anything critical on it (just a bunch of ISOs that I could download again at any time), but I also don't want to pay for a junk drive that will lose my data. This one has good reviews, comes from a name I recognize, and has a pretty good GB-to-dollar ratio. I currently have about 10 different flavors of Linux on my flash drive. I decided to take Bodhi Linux for a ride on my old Chromebook and so far it's working very well. There are other OSes on there (PrimeOS, FydeOS, Lubuntu, etc.) for some other old computers I've managed to inherit, so one USB drive will handle most of what I want to install. I can either run them from the drive, or I can take the plunge and install them. I have an ancient laptop that might get the latest distro of Ubuntu, for example. Or I may finally try FydeOS, or Chromium, or some other oddball OS, just for fun (Haiku, anyone)? So far this drive does everything I need it to do at a reasonable price. The price was so good that I actually bought 2, just in case.

FAT32 formatted no problems holds a lot of info
Excellent item. The only advice I can give and it has nothing to do with item. If you have issues playing music and it flashes unsupported, instead of installing an updated program make sure it FAT32 format many players are formatted different.this however, worked perfectly. Recommended

Fast low cost. You should have a couple of these.
Fast low cost. Highly recommended. Used this to make Ventoy USB.

Nice, once I figured out how to get the cover to budge
Bought USB 2.0 because that (in FAT32 format) is what a Fire Stick requires to play videos from USB (in tandem with the cheap "Micro USB Host OTG Cable with Micro USB Power for Fire Stick" or similar connector). (I actually have a TCL Roku TV which will smoothly play USB video -- and, unlike Fire, is compatible with USB 3.0 and NTFS. But I want versatile playback options in terms of *visual* forward-and-reverse speed search, etc. -- which Roku's sole media player frustratingly lacks. So Fire Stick plus the free VLC player app was the way to go.) Anyway, it was a *little* difficult to get the PNY's sliding cover to open, but seemed pretty much *impossible* to get it to CLOSE. Was ready to return it. Then I tried using a table as leverage (plug side down), and that did the trick. After doing that a few times, the cover now slides easily in both directions. Working well so far, and a great value.

Good drive for back ups and random data saves
PNY 64GB Attaché 4 USB 2.0 Flash Drive Bought for a back up data device. Works great. Its not the fastest drive, but for backup, I didn't need speed. Remember, over time, thumb drives can lose power, when that happens, the memory will clear. BUt as a back up drive, you are occasionally plugging it in to back up data so that should not be a problem. If you have data that will be stored for years, a HDD is the better choice. Recommended I do not know the seller nor did I get any product of money for my random review 250305 1150

You Can Always Count On PNY For Quality Products
I've had very good experiences with past PNY products so I had no hesitation in getting another PNY USB drive for making a Windows Recovery Drive for my new desktop. It is a USB 2.0 but for 64gb for $6 it's a no brainer, especially if you're just making a recovery drive or mainly using it for music. But even with it being USB 2.0 it was fairly quick when I tested out the USB drive by transferring 40gb of music to it. It did it in just over an hour. Not too shabby, imo. And I had zero trouble getting it to slide to open and close. Not sure what others are complaining about when it comes to opening and closing the USB drive.
