Gamechanger!
We mince our own dog food, and were having big problems portioning it with a normal kitchen scale.Mass readout invisible under the bowl. With this, we can weigh a big bowl, and read the mass no problem. Easy to keep clean too.If you think you need this, you need this :-)

The plastic rubber platform, while lightweight, doesn't feel as durable as metal alternatives.
My overall experience has been quite positive, though with a few notable drawbacks. On the bright side, the scale's wide weighing capacity, from 40g to 200kg/440lb, is impressive. It handles both small parcels and heavy packages with ease, meeting my diverse shipping needs effectively. The 10g accuracy is a significant advantage, ensuring precise weight measurements for all items. The scale's ultra-light design is another highlight. Made of plastic rubber, the platform is sturdy yet lightweight, making it easy to move and store when not in use. This portability is particularly useful in a busy work environment where space is often at a premium. One feature I appreciate is the auto-off LCD display. The backlit display provides clear, real-time weight readings and can be moved via a connected cable for easy viewing. The scale also offers dual power supply options—batteries and a power adapter—so I don't have to worry about frequent battery changes. This flexibility ensures the scale is always ready for use. However, there are a few areas where the scale falls short. The plastic rubber platform, while lightweight, doesn't feel as durable as metal alternatives. I'm concerned about its long-term durability, especially with heavy or frequent use. Additionally, although the backlit LCD is useful, the auto-off feature can be annoying if you’re in the middle of a weighing task and the display shuts down unexpectedly.Lastly, the hold and tare functions are handy, but I found the hold function occasionally unreliable. It sometimes failed to lock the weight after removing the package, which can be frustrating during busy shipping times.Overall, the Postage Scale 440lb offers excellent functionality and convenience with a few minor drawbacks. Its accuracy, portability, and power options make it a valuable tool for postal, warehouse, and commercial use, but there's room for improvement in durability and reliability.

Makes weighing packages so much easier
If, like me, you regularly need to send packages, you'll have experienced the hassle of weighing. It can be difficult to justify a dedicated set of scales, but the convenience of this unit is worth it.Trying to weigh packages with bathroom scales is a bit of a lottery. They're not designed for that purpose and often they're not accurate enough at lighter weights and have platforms that don't allow for large packages. Heading to the Post Office or a carrier service's office is a pain and stops you printing your own labels. So there's a point at which having your own postal scales makes sense. This is a nice simple unit that offers you options. Battery power allows you to use it anywhere and mains power lets you set it up in a fixed location. I really appreciated the wall mounting holes on measuring display - they're the kind that allow you to dismount it easily so it retains its portability.I was pleasantly surprised by the accuracy. I don't expect scales that can weigh up to 200kg to be accurate for small amounts, but the scales are indeed accurate to 10g. Even 50g or 100g tests I did resulted in accurate results. The display is simple and clear and the unit is smart enough to turn itself off when not in use for a few minutes. I haven't been able to determine battery life (I've only had it a few days), but I expect it to be long as it draws very little power indeed. The only limitation is that the mains cable is USB, but it's becoming commonplace to have USB sockets on power sockets or extension leads so this isn't a problem. If you're unable to decide if you need postal scales, then you probably do. They're also convenient for other uses. I've just weighed my luggage for my trip tomorrow.

Accurate, and easy to store
There are now facilities to pay postage on-line and have someone collect a parcel. My problem with this service is that I’ve had no way of accurately measuring the weight of said parcel, and you need to know the weight in order to pay in advance. This scale is the solution to that problem. The weighing platform is 30.5cm square, stands 3cm high, and is fairly light, so very easy to tuck away out of sight until needed.Unlike kitchen and bathroom scales, the display here is attached by a curly wire (needs two AAA batteries - supplied). This means that if the object being weighed is larger than the platform then it does not obscure the display. This makes this scale very useful for weighing large boxes. The display panel has screw slots at the back (and screws and plugs supplied) so if you need it set up permanently the display can be attached to a wall for convenience.I have several metal weights once used for market scales, and so was able to test accuracy and this scale agreed with the marked weights with every weight I used, so I’m quite happy about the accuracy. The supplied USB cord is another way to supply power if you don’t want to use the batteries.I’m very happy with this.
