Used in hiking and were perfect.

Great gloves--thin but warm! I live in the northern part of Wisconsin and these gloves are warm enough for shoveling and roof raking as well as UTV-driving, plus basic things like walking/jogging and driving a cold vehicle. However, they do lose their insulating ability when wet/sweaty. Because the glove is thin it grants excellent dexterity for using my smartphone, and also still lets me load and fire my shotgun with ease. I like that the touchscreen-friendly bits at the end of the thumb and index finger are black, too--keeps the look of the gloves nice and neat.I took off one star for the strange fit--I found them to be long through the palm and short through the fingers. So the glove overall is long enough, but the parts between the fingers is nearly a centimeter too shallow. Also, the fingertips are a bit boxy.My last pair of Seirus gloves held up for three years and were still in perfect shape until I accidentally melted them a few weeks back (do not place on a wood burning stove). Hoping that this pair will prove to be of the same quality!

I wanted to really love these, and I do like them a lot. I prepared myself before buying them to read all of the reviews when considering gloves for my dog walks. I really love these gloves for their touch capability - they are definitely the best touch-sensitive gloves I have ever owned. They only down side to the "Ultra Thin" in the title, is that they are in fact perfect fall weather or light winter gloves. But if there is any wind-chill, the cold air bites right through the fabric and your hands freeze.I still have to use my heavy winter gloves on the snowy or windy days here in the Boston winter, but these gloves are definitely a huge asset other times of the year when I need something for my hands on my multi-times a day dog walks.

Love these gloves....even more than I thought I would. The fingertip touch-screen controls are the perfect addition to an already superb product, and they aren't even silver! They don't stand out or stick out oddly at all and they work very well. The only reason I give 4 stars is that the XS and the S sizes are lumped together in this model (maybe always have been) and it didn't say that on the product description. Knowing that they weren't a true XS would have kept me from purchasing....but maybe a wash/dry cycle will shrink them up a bit.Bottom line? As long as you don't have true XS size hands, you're gonna LOVE these 5 stars worth!

I got my first pair of these gloves as a gift. I used them both casually, as a mitten liner, and as a mid level warmth glove while mountain biking. I wore them to death I loved them so much! I must have used them 5+ years. So finally I needed a new pair. I really only use them casually now walking to and from work. The finger tips all are losing the outermost layer. The stitching around the leather palm is coming out...How are these gloves falling apart with such minimal use. I still like them but wow the quality isn't what it use to be. Not sure if I'll be getting another pair.

My hands still got cold wearing these

I like the gloves but have very small hands and the smallest pair available are still a little large for me. Have not yet tried them in the rain but a friend of mine has and she says they work very well. I also have other Seirus brands gloves that I am equally satisfied with.

The fingers are too long so it is difficult to use the tech tips on my phone. They are also not windproof. Better than most gloves I've had in regard to the wind but still not exactly what we were looking for. My fiancé has had these gloves in the men's sizes and loved them for years but due to the quality we've decided we'd rather pay more for them through REI than save money and buy on Amazon as the quality seems far less superior.
