Clip the DEG a16-hc260 trumpet Lyre on the trumpet's bell to conveniently hold your music where you can see it. Formed from lightweight aluminum, It attaches to the bell rim of the instrument. The music is at the ideal distance from the eyes to permit easy viewing. Attaching tabs and Lyre board are covered with slip-resistant non-scratching material and will not mar the finish of the instrument. Also useable on marching brass. Second time lucky!
The first one sent by Dawkes was just a folio - which we only realised after 10 minutes looking at it saying 'how on earth is this going to clamp on?!?' Dawkes dispatched the correct version after a 15 minute discussiont for them to 1) agree that they had sent the wrong one and 2) agree that I had ordered the folio + lyre. When the new one arrived, again we couldn't work out how to clamp it on, as the clamps were positioned along the short edge, so if it was clamped on top of the bell, the folio was on it's side. If it was clamped on the side of the bell, the folio was the right way up but it stopped you playing as the slide just smacked it when you played! So another 15 minutes with a spanner/screw driver, moving all the clamps about and we had a fully functioning trombone clamp on lyre with folio... Only took a phone call and a bit of diy ;-) But served it's purpose for a very rainy Remembrance Sunday parade - kept the music dry and visible.
