DR Strings HI-DEF NEON Bass Guitar Strings (NMCB-40)

Got a lot of comments on these strings. With black lights they get electrified.

I love the way these look and sound 🤘

I normally play flatwound strings on my basses, but I saw these in a Charles Berthoud video and wanted to try them out. To my surprise, the coating on the strings makes them much more playable with much less “gritch…” string sounds between notes.Secondly, they just look badass. Especially when using a black light in the room. You can see how much your strings are moving, which was a surprise to me in the video above and live. I can also play in the dark much easier.Lastly, they are a perfect match for instrument based games like Rocksmith. They match the colors of the strings in the game perfectly. One of my kids is learning to play through the game and his proficiency has literally doubled since there’s no guesswork on which string is being played. That was a big plus.

I have use Rotosounds as my roundwound choice since 1985. For whatever reason, I bought these. These are the best sounding strings. Everything about them is better, including the feel. As a bonus, they glow under UV/blacklight. Gimmicky, but I immediately didn't care how they looked after hearing and touching them. UPDATE: the only complaint I have, after months of using these is the strings will literally burn your finger if you slide up the fretboard fast while applying pressure.

I like the light gauge and how well the strings hold there tuning. Nice round wound sound for a good price. My daughters like the colors. All in all I am well pleased with them.

Love llove love these strings. Nice and light, coating keeps your fingers from being torn up. And glows amazingly under a black light!

These are great for a beginner because the colors help remind them of what string to play.
