Located in the heart of the Middle East, Iran's reputation in the west keeps visitors away from the ancient cities and magnificent ruins that signal its past as the home of the Persian empire. Traveler Ian Wright starts his journey in the bustling capital city of Tehran before heading to the mountains and skiing in Dizin. He travels onto Esfahan via the Caspian coast and Iran's most popular tourist destination. The journey ends at the ancient city of Persepolis built at the height of the Persian empire. · Visit the Shrine of the Eman Khomeini, the holiest site in Iran. · Go Fishing for Sturgeon on the Caspian coast. · Wrestle with descendants of Genghis Khan's Mongolian invaders. · Witness the Islamic festival of Ashura. · Visit the magnificent Citadel at Bam. The material in the DVD was previously released under the title "Lonely Planet"

Not bad but not great either
Was hoping for a little more from this DVD, and the presenter was mega annoying. It seems pretty dated now as it was produced in 2003.

Iran Tour
Really looked forward to this as Ian Wright is the supremo at this type of genre. Sad to say, it only appeared in black and white and nothing we could do changed it - nope our equipment not faulty. Total letdown. How can you watch a tour of this fascinating and mysterious country in B/W ?
