Slow burning, long lasting, and smells good

My wife an I are Candohoilics. Addicted to wonderful aroma scent's of any kind.However, we are both very picky when it comes to the quality of the scent. Aroma quality is everything.This is closely followed by Hours of burn time vs $$ spent.Some scents are harsh, and have an overly chemical aroma, so they smell very artificial and fake.Others promise so much, and give so very little, and very little aroma can be detected at all.Whenever, I get a candle or incense package, I smell-test it at all stages. A good strong scent will permeate through all packages - with the exception of plastic, sealed jiffy bags.Secondly, at the same time I sniff for the "flavor" - What is the scent? What is it supposed to smell like, based on the description.A final lift of the jar lid, confms the strength, the flavor, and the autenticity of the description. This same scent and intensity, should then be enjoyed once the cande is lit.The final tip, is to look out for burn consistancy. Quality candles will burn their entire contents down in an even level. Whilst poor quality wax will just boore melted holes around the wick all the way down.Keeping in mind the cost of candles, factor in the amount of wax not used in your equation to determine if you will buy this brand again. Lots of remaining wax will mean even less value for your dollar.The real question is how much are you prepared to pay per hour for your favorite flavored aroma?So, if you divide estimated flame time provided by the supplier by the cost, you get the dollar per hour value.It is at ths point that you begin to realize just how expensive candles are. I bought this candle, hoping to find a refreshing, but not heavy or overly sweet scented candle to burn for the spring months - and did I ever find the perfect scent with this lavender citrus one. I honestly think this is my favorite scented candle of all time because the scent is just heavenly - burning or not burning - it really doesn't matter. It smells nice either way. This candle comes with two wicks, but I honestly have been using candle warmer lamps lately, so I can not really comment on how much better two wicks are than one for this candle, but it does melt well and evenly under a candle warming lamp. The actual jar this candle comes in is nicer than average, as it is a pretty pastel purple color. It also has the letter M (for the company that makes this candle I presume) imprinted onto the glass in a shimmery manner - it dresses up the jar a bit, but does not make you think of advertising as it could, leaving a less nice impression overall. The jar has a black screw on lid, so overall, it is an attractive looking scented candle. This candle was also shipped covered by a honeycomb style paper wrapper - so don't be surprised if you order one when you open it up and see it shipped that way. I mention it only because I know I was. I imagine you will be pleasantly surprised by what you find inside when you take the candle out of its wrapper. I know I was. In terms of longevity of this candle compared to others, my guess is that it is likely to be about average, but because I love the scent so much, I actually am using this candle much more than other scented candles in the past than I have had, so it actually is being used up faster. My thanks to the Amazon Vine program for sending me this candle for free in exchange for my honest review of it. Love this particular candle and am happily awarding it 5 stars, especially for its scent. It would make a wonderful Mother's Day, birthday or housewarming gift.

I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with scented candles. I love them, but half the time I find that I can barely smell them. Such is not the case with Summer's Night--a two-wick candle with notes of bergamot, lavender, pepper, sage, geranium, pine, patchouli, tonka bean, and moss.From the moment I opened the giftable box I could immediately detect a lavender scent, which was also prominent as soon as I lit the candle. The other fragrances become more apparent as the candle burns down. This candle is sizeable at 19.4 ounces, with an advertised burn time of 110 hours. Made of 100% natural wax, the only minor drawback is that the wax tends to liquify rather quickly, and the liquid actually extinguished one of the two wicks--requiring a re-light.Nonetheless, the cardboard honeycomb protective sleeve is a perfect fit, and the glass jar is substantial in weight and thickness. The lid is made of plastic instead of the usual metal, which prompts me to extinguish the lit wicks before putting the lid on.As far as the fragrance is concerned, this is among the nicest smelling candles I have encountered. The top layer is more aromatherapy in essence, but the scents become more manly as the wax burns down. I certainly hope M&SENSE makes more candles in the future, as I am sold on the quality, size, and throw of the fragrance notes. I could pleasantly smell the candle throughout most of my home, and I have a fairly large house. The aroma is powerful without being overwhelming, as the candle far exceeded my expectations. This candle is a winner that can easily compare with the best of its competitors.Recommended. Made in China.
