One of the best books I've found!
As some other students may have noticed, particularly if they're doing the AQA Biology course, the Oxford books prescribed are both usually redundant and of the mediocre variety.Well, NOT ANYMORE!This book covers all of the foundations of a level biology, as well as building upon them to make an excellent read. Questions are copious and challenge even the strongest students. The coloured images are marvellous and the layout is great.Perhaps one of the biggest downfalls of the Oxford textbooks (and is the reason why I've switched to Cambridge) is the fact that there are never any answers provided. This wouldn't be a problem if the text essentially answered the question, and all you had to do was flick through the previous few pages, but Oxford always give questions that are not answered within the text, which is frustrating.This book gives questions, and, whilst it doesn't have a dedicated answer section, the answers are easily found and contained within the main body of text.

Good Delivery, Not a Good Read
The packaging etc of this book was perfect, and it was in excellent condition as described. However, for the AS course it is pretty redundant, as it is unclear and hard to read, and I have to sift through a lot of data to get any key facts. I wouldn't recommend anyone not considering studying biology long term to get it.

Absolutely recommendable textbook for any advanced learner of biology!
This book I got for just a few pounds....and it's turned out to be the best textbook I've ever had in biology. Comprenhensive information very clearly presented and amazingly well accompanied by illustrations. I would not hesitate to buy another copy of it!

Essential for anybody studying A-level biology!!
This book is really great! At times it does go into a little bit too much detail but it only helps you to understand it better. It is well set out into different topics and chapters and has lots of clear pictures to help you visually understand as well. It is a lot more detailed than another textbook I was given from school. I would really recommend it to anybody studying A-level biology as it is worth the money!!
