Very useful and reliable with great battery life.
I wanted an inexpensive smartwatch but one from one of the established brands. My needs were purely to keep track of my steps for my walks and to measure my heart rate. This nifty little watch (I chose the Velcro strap as I find that more comfy) does these things and much more. It measures O2 and also somehow one’s stress levels. It reminds you to get up and move and also gives you instructions for breathing exercises. Those who can sleep with watches on their wrists will appreciate the sleep monitor - I did this for a few nights and it was fascinating to see when and got how long I had light sleep, deep sleep and REM sleep. It all seemed quite accurate too or at least very plausible (how would I know if I was asleep) But I’ve not used that since as I don’t really like wearing watches to sleep. It has a torch function - brilliant on my recent flight - turned it on very easily to help me root around for things in the dark and yet not so bright as to disturb neighbours (it can be adjusted). It has tons of free watch faces, so you can customise easily. The watch has a ton more features which I haven’t really gone into. The user interface is simple and intuitive. Oh and pairing with my iPhone was easy peasy! And best of all - the battery charge longerivity is phenomenal! Lasts easily a week at least on a single charge - don’t know exactly how long is needed but I only left my phone on charge for a couple of hours before using it again. All this for under £50!!

Amazon Review: Huawei Band 9 – Fantastic Value for the Money!
I have to say, the Huawei Band 9 has completely exceeded my expectations! For the price, this little band packs a serious punch. The sensors are incredibly accurate – I've compared them to both Google and Apple devices, and the readings have been spot on. It’s small and lightweight, to the point where you hardly even notice you’re wearing it, which is exactly what I was looking for. The Huawei Health app is another standout. It’s packed with features that would usually require a paid subscription on other devices, making this an even better deal. From heart rate monitoring to sleep tracking, everything is well-integrated and easy to use. I’ve been using the band constantly for heart rate tracking, sleep monitoring, SpO2 levels, and even calm breathing assistance. I charged it last Wednesday, and today is Tuesday – it's still at 40%! The battery life is absolutely fantastic. I've had great experiences with Huawei products in the past, and the Band 9 is no exception. If you’re considering something like a Fitbit or another small band, I honestly can’t recommend this enough. It’s top-notch quality and offers excellent value for money. Definitely worth checking out!

Nice Smart Watch, Poor Instructions
I bought this to replace another smart watch which didn't perform as advertised. It is small and downloading the correct app is tricky but seems to be good. I'm still finding my way around but controlling the watch faces etc seems very easy. I mainly bought this for advertised workout functions. I couldn't find them initially and was on the point of sending it back and then found when on the clock screen, press the side button again and the workout option appears, phew! Would have nice if this was in the app 😡. It has all the gym workouts both cardiovascular and strength. I've yet to test the validity of any of these. Update. Having used this for a few weeks, I am very happy with this smart watch. The app measures my workouts in amazing detail monitoring my heart rate, BP and even stride length (?). It's very easy to use and the battery seems to last forever. I've not used the sleep function but all other functions work very well. Highly recommended.

Excellent Product - Excellent Value
My first Fitbit was a Garmin given to me as a present four years ago, but recently it began to show signs of wear and sometimes I had difficulty charging it, so I began my search for a replacement. The description and capabilities of this Huawei Band 9 Smart Watch on Amazon seemed to have what I was looking for – not too complicated for a ‘silver surfer,’ but with emphasis on general health rather than having a personal trainer strapped to my wrist..! I had no need to use the watch for sending messages or talking to Alexa as my iPhone is quite capable of doing that. The Huawei Band 9, once paired to my iPhone, does receive messages but is unable to reply. I wanted a rectangular-shaped watch face with a good battery life that monitored my general health. Essentials were a step count, sleep management, heart rate and SpO2 levels and importantly, didn’t take long to charge. Additionally, I required it to ‘pair’ with my iPhone which it did very easily as I needed to download the Huawei Health app. All appears to be working well. There are 100 other training modes, but I doubt I’ll be using many of them..! The watch is very comfortable to wear. The face can be programmed to be on permanently or as I prefer, set default to off but will illuminate with a tap, or wrist movement. The side button operates other functions, and you can scroll across or up and down the face to see many more. The software comes with a choice of free digital or analogue watch faces (see photos), and you can download many more at a cost between £1.99 - £4.99 each. For what I wanted the Huawei Band 9 is giving me exactly what I was looking for and I can therefore recommend it. Update 14 July 2025. A couple of days ago I put the watch on charge but nothing happened. On the screen I would expect to see the charge number increasing. All I saw briefly on the screen was 'extremely low battery charge'. After a couple of minutes to think why the watch was not charging I had a look at the back of the watch and noticed 'muck' (presumably flakes of skin) on the charging terminals. I removed the 'muck' and hey presto the watch charged normally.

Great smartband—so good I bought it twice
This is my second time purchasing the HUAWEI Band 9—this time as a gift for a friend—and he’s really happy with it. It’s comfortable to wear, has a sleek design, and offers a lot of features for the price. The battery life is impressive, easily lasting up to two weeks, and the sleep tracking with TruSleep 4.0 is one of its standout features. It also offers a wide range of training modes, making it a great companion for staying active. Reliable, well-made, and easy to sync with both Android and iOS—definitely a smart choice.

Great little device
Great watch, i didn't want to spend to much money on a fitness watch and i have an Honor Mobile (Cheaper version of Huawei) So i thought i would get this watch seeing as its nicely priced. I also got it as it has the Nylon Strap so i don't need to worry about getting the right tightness with the other bands. But its been good to use the watch and track my progress with the app and i love that you can change the watch faces. -Battery life is very good. I have my backlight at 3/4 and the battery lasted around 7-8 days. -The durability seems strong on it and well made for the price. I haven't worn a watch in about 20 years or so, but now i have it i don't think i can go back to not having one, i hit it a couple of times on the desk while getting use to it and its still fine. I thought the watch was going to be bigger than it is. but you can see everything clearly, every time you complete a work out as long as you have it synced to the app it will sent it straight to the health app and you can look over progress from that. The last picture is with the screen protector on it that i got along side the watch. Name - Bigqin Case Compatible with Huawei Band 9.

Nice fitness tracker , App difficult to get installed because App not available in Google App Store
Nice looking with comfortable band and a bright display connecting to an android 15 phone was a terrible experience The Huawei app needs to be loaded on your phone but it's not in the google app store You have to use Huawei own app store to get the app Android security doesn't like this and you have to get Android 15 to accept the Huawei download centre and turn off the security checks done by Android 15 Needless to say that caused some issues and the .apk file had to be downloaded from Huawei website Then find the file then install the file against Android operating system advice There are some confusing steps like whe it asks the manufacturer of your phone and it expects you to choose Huawei which I would never have figured out without watching a youtube video Huawei help link is no help whatsover as its email for a reply and office hours only The app finally istalled you can pair the watch and your phone using the app Personally I would say that the process for installing the app would prevent me from recommending this fitness watch I would suggest getting something wher the phone app was in the google app store Also in the app you will find adverts for additional sevices which I'm not a fan of You can change the watch display to show other versions of the watch face and you can pay for other versions mostly costing betwee 59p and £1.99 but once again you will have to give your credit card details to some unknown source not the Google app store so thats not something I was comfortable with So nice fitness tracker and app but difficult to get installed and less secure than if it came from the Google app store

Pretty good, just missing screen lock
Band 9 It's very light, has plenty of features, it's pretty customisable and the battery lasts long. Not sure about accuracy etc but I don't care much personally if the step count or heart rate numbers are a few points off. Cons: There's no screen lock / accidental touch protection which would help a lot in all scenarios, especially when I sit down and cross my arms - it records it as long touch and goes into screen edit. The "glass" could be harder too as after a few bouldering sessions, the screen has multiple scratches. Edit: After a year the velcro strap lost grip and the screen was shattered (still working fine though), so I replaced the whole thing with Band 10. Band 10 It's all the same as band 9 with below changes - good and bad. Good: - the aluminium case is nice and more scratch resistant - you can now use your own photo to build a custom wallpaper :D Bad: - tracking is calibrated very differently and same exercise on Band 10 gives over 20% higher calories count than on Band 9. Band 10 also tracks passive calories on top of this increase. And combined number active and passive is tracked in the Exercise Records, which skews tracking long term and between other devices. - at least for some exercises less info is displayed on each screen, so you have to swipe more.
