I was apprehensive and somewhat skeptical of screen protectors that advertise easy installation with no bubbles, due to past experiences. After seeing ads for Magic John screen protectors on TikTok, I decided to give it a shot. I scanned the QR code on the packaging and watched the YouTube installation video. I followed the instructions and was initially dismayed to see bubbles, but I was soon thrilled to find they quickly disappeared without any trouble. The installation tool did a good job centering the protector on the phone screen. The privacy feature is nice — when I’m on a treadmill at the gym, I don’t have to worry about the person next to me seeing what’s on my phone. I do want to point out, however, that the darkened screen only works if the phone is held vertically; when held horizontally, it doesn’t completely black it out. Overall, I still highly recommend this product. TL;DR: Easy to install with no lasting bubbles. Privacy feature works well when the phone is held vertically.

Excellent durability, quick to install

I recently purchased the Magic John screen protector, intrigued by its promises of superior fingerprint resistance and durability. After using it for a few weeks, I feel compelled to share my experience. First and foremost, the application process was straightforward. The packaging included all the necessary tools for a bubble-free installation, which I appreciated. It fit my device perfectly and offered edge-to-edge protection. However, the claims regarding fingerprint resistance did not live up to my expectations. While the screen protector initially appeared to repel fingerprints effectively, I quickly noticed that it became smudged and streaked with even minimal use. I found myself constantly wiping the screen to maintain clarity, which was quite disappointing. In terms of clarity and touch sensitivity, the Magic John screen protector performed well. The screen remained responsive, and colors were vibrant, which I enjoyed. Unfortunately, the frequent need to clean the surface detracted from the overall experience. In conclusion, while the Magic John screen protector has some appealing features, its lack of effective fingerprint resistance is a significant drawback. If you prioritize a smudge-free display, you might want to explore other options. For now, I can't fully recommend this product based on its performance in this crucial area.

This screen protector was the easiest one I have ever put on and I have put on thousands of screen protectors in my life. The fit of the protector is really good, covers the whole screen and screen bleed truly isn’t an issue once the case goes on. So far so good with the Magic John. 5/5. Works well.

I got this about a year and some change ago, and am only back here because the protector is beginning to peel off from the edges. Reading other reviews, durability does not seem to be an issue, at least from my experience. I have work in a pretty rigorous job, and I have taken my phone through a lot of environments, dropped it many times, and haven’t even seen a hairline crack. Granted, I have a phone case as well and the drops haven’t been super high, maybe off a table or chest height, but still the point stands that this screen protector is pretty solid. Compared to other brands like Spigen, this screen protector is actually better when it comes to value and fulfills its function of being, well, a screen protector. Now let’s get into the cons. Installation wasn’t so easy. For some reason I remember having trouble installing the screen protector with their little mounting kit, as I am used to the traditional method of peeling the back off and installing it myself. I ended up burning one of the protectors in the pack as I installed it weird on the first try and got dust under the glass, leading to an easy loss in stickiness of the protector to the phone. Scratch protection is pretty meh, my pocket and keys have done some pretty good scratches while I have had the protector, but it is still comfortable to use and isn’t a nuisance. The privacy viewing angle SUCKS. It is a wide degree of viewability which defeats the purpose of a privacy screen, and even so, the filter itself is pretty terrible. The anti-liquid/fingerprint layer that was a big selling point on this product also kinda sucks but I’m not a huge stickler for something I can simply wipe off. Stickiness should be worked on as well but I’m pretty sure I beat that horse pretty dead already. Bottom line up front, 20 bucks for 2 screen protectors that do their job is a pretty solid bargain, and addresses the basic needs in a screen protector that I’d want. Like I said, this brand outlasted other bigger brands I’ve used, with no cracks since installation. Until a better version of this product releases, I’d argue that this product is basically a steal for what it’s worth.

I been seeing this product all over TikTok and I thought it was cool. Plus my new 15 Pro Max needed a screen protector so I finally went ahead and ordered it. I opened the box up and pulled out the case, scanned the QR code to watch the video instructions and I followed the application instructions. Now after I was almost done with the application, I did get some bubbles on the screen but stay with me, it requires a little bit of finesse which means lifting the protector up (please do not place your finger underneath it) and lower it back down slowly and use the thing that they gave you to scoop the bubbles. It took me a few tries and patience but finally, I got it all out and I was able to pull back the final thingy. And boom, it worked. The protector glass was super clear as they said it was, the privacy is amazing, I have my brightness almost all the way up and you STILL can't see anything from the side 😩 This is what I'm talking about! I noticed it gets a little bit of fingerprints now and then, I just wipe it off. The hydrophobic coating works too which is amazing, water just slides off my phone screen now. It feels good under the fingers, quality is good. From what I see so far, it's exactly as advertised, just follow the steps and you’re good. TikTok did not let me down on this. Also, to add to it, I noticed a lot of negative reviews on other products of this on Amazon. If y'all see this review, make sure you order from this one. Its legit and its the one that works. I bought this on the recommendation of a friend. I put it on my phone & was immediately greeted by bubbles & air gaps. I was told that they would work themselves out so I didn't worry too much about it. I came home one day, bent over to untie my boots & the phone dropped out of my shirt pocket. It fell about 3 feet & cracked the screen protector on the bottom left corner. This doesn't instill much confidence in these screen protectors. I've purchased these screen protectors for my 17 Pro Max as well but wonder about the durability at this point... I've had phones fall down stairs before & the screen protector didn't crack.
