Is it a heavy substantial stick

My stick weighs 356 grams so for me this is not heavy. It is, however, very strong and seems to flex very little even if I lean all of my 89 kilos on it. For me it is a perfect combination for long walks with my dog. It also looks very smart.

What size rubber cover fits

A 9mm rubber ferrule for shooting sticks will cover the spike as a temporary measure. If you do not want to use the knob stick with the alpine spike, please ask us to cut off the spike and fit a rubber ferrule

Would it be suitable as a disability aid stick with the rubber base. I have back problems but people say this kind of stick is not really suitable.

Hi,. I've used many a walking stick for my back problems and it depends on how much weight you need to put on the stick. I lean quite heavily on mine and until I got my present specially designed ergo handle, all other sticks where causing nerve damage in my hand. Something to be wary of.
