I liked everything about it. The coating, the size, and the design. Well packed and wrapped on delivery. I am having an issue with one of the side straps on the sheath not closing but nothing a dab of petroleum and a pair of needle nose pliers shouldn't be able to handle. Extraordinary pressure works for now. Update, the snap only required a thin dab of petroleum and now works fine. Looking forward to using it in the field.

Yeah, full-tang knife, alright. But to use this kukri, mountaineering (whatever) "jAcK 0f all TraDeS" knife, you have to put on heavy gloves---as the edges of the sharp steel shows going through the handle and the sharp steel edges will cut your hands to shred. They couldn't be bothered rounding off the steel edges when it makes contact with the handle---or EVEN TO MAKE SURE THE STEEL MATCHES PERFECTLY WITH THE HANDLE. So, if you are looking for some heavy use, make sure you wear heavy duty work gloves.The buttons of the leather sheet are not heavy duty and it was basically manufactured to new condition ownership--just so it would sell. You really evidently have to shell out far more to get the standards that one gets accustomed to in a well-manufactured knife of this size.I would return this but I am well out of the return/refund window.

I like that it came with a holster and the magnesium fire starter. Love that it is full tang bought a knife a while back that wasn't and that broke with minimal use. I expect this to last for years to come. The sharpness is all right. sharpened it a little more and was perfect.

In planning our upcoming summer camping trips, I wanted to find a "survival" knife that we could carry with us. I did some looking, and when I came across this gorgeousness, I knew I wanted it home with us. This is a 13.6" Full-Tang Hunting and Camping knife. Let me first mention that upon opening the box, the presentation was met with something equally lovely. The leather holster is BEAUTIFUL. Smooth and polished, adorned with 3 snaps to secure the knife, providing 100% protection with the way the holster has been designed. Below, I will outline some of the other features that led me to determine, this would be an incredible thing to own.*Design: Premium Ebony handle- Leather holster- Magnesium Rods*Uses: Hunting, Carving, Bushcrafting, Fishing and so much more*Stain resistant and Rust resistant*Age range: Adults*Material: DC53 Stainless steel*Blade size: 13.6-inch blade*Handle was designed with ergonomics so you experience comfortAll in all, this is a very lovely leather sheath with a gorgeous well built knife. This is one of those types of products that gets passed down through generations. I'm very pleased with every aspect of this set. Therefore, based on these facts and features, I would recommend this to other consumers. The ONLY qualm I have is under product description-details it lists recommended uses for product, and it says "Fighting" and I would re-word that and if the intent is to say for "Survival and protection" then it should be worded that way. I don't think they intended for people to get this to fight each other. Other than that- and that is an easy fix, I do recommend this- the attention to detail is spectacular. Looks good, decent fit and finish. Even grinds and nice real wood scales. The steel is very soft, a file bites easily and it doesn't hold an edge. If it is DC53 steel then the heat treat is terrible.
