The spiral binding makes the book lay flat, again making it easy to use while working. I like to put my books on a stand where I can easily see it. As an experienced 55+ crocheting years, great grandmother, I will use this book as one of my teaching textbooks. I noticed in the reviews some had trouble reading the directions, I can only guess that perhaps they had not yet learned how to read the abbreviations that are used in all patterns. Many of my students came to me to learn how to read a pattern. I hope those folks find a good teacher to help them.

Great patterns
I had fun crocheting these cuties, especially the frog!!! Clear instructions. I might suggest adding the number of stitches after a round. It helps us that are uncertain if we are doing it right. Thank you for the patterns.

Perfect for beginners
The directions where clear and easy to understand, with lots of pictures to help you know how to make your project successful. I won't buy a crochet book if I there is not more than one project I like. I liked most of the projects in the book and have already completed two of them.
