Perfect for Lake Tahoe
Arrived quick and worked great during our vacation in Lake Tahoe! We just threw some raw bacon in there and had a bunch of crawdads in the morning. It was so compact, we packed it in no problem.

Great trap as long as you leave your catch in it
I bought this trap to catch blue crab on a recent RV trip to the Texas coast. The trap is of great quality but lacks the ability to open it to remove the crabs, as well as a bait holder to keep bait in the center of the trap.In use, this crab trap catches crabs as well as the bulkier chickenwire crab pot I've had for years but removing the crabs through the opening the crawled through can be a serious issue as the crabs are quick to grab onto the netting the trap is made out of.I now keep this crab trap in the basement of my RV 100% of the time given it size but I've yet to again since my last trip to the Texas coast.

Great design, ok quality
I recently bought two of the smaller pots for upcoming backpacking trips. My first trip was postponed due to snow, but I let them soak in a river overnight on a recent camping trip - the water didn’t look like good habitat for crawfish but I thought I might as well test them out. I only caught 1, but the pots held up well and they were easy to attach to my pack. The quality isn’t great, but the design is perfect for my needs. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a packable crawfish trap.

Oh yeah!
Caught some perch, crawfish, even some 6”+ catfish all in the creek. The only downfall is when you store them, keep them out of the sun, but that’s with every trap like this. The sun after a year made these get a little brittle, so keep em put up and they will last!

Great little Crawfish Trap.
Went fishing and crawfish 🦞 fishing in Prescott, AZ with some family. I bought 2 of these crawfish traps. Didn’t know how well they would work. When I tried them out I caught a bunch of crawfish in the lakes. I used a can of cat food for bait and hotdogs inside. Who would of thought they liked those but they did. I’m happy to say these little traps worked like a charm. They are built pretty strong as well. If your trying to catch these in the smaller lakes or pounds these worked very well. Went back to My family’s place and cooked them up. I left the traps with my brother to keep and use because they liked them that much. I’ll just have to buy me some more if I ever go crawfish hunting again. 😂

These are great
I got two of these and used them all summer. They look like they'll probably last all next summer too. An old sock with some super-cheap tuna or some trout heads & guts in it seems to work the best as bait. I was only leaving these out for about 12 hours (7pm to 7am) and my record catch in one trap was like 35 crayfish. They don't seem to work too well as minnow traps - the netting is too big. I have had a few creek chubs and bullhead as by-catch, though. Netting is also too big to catch smaller crayfish such as the Northern Clearwater - in my area it ends up just being the Virile and invasive Rusty crayfish that get caught in the trap, which is a good thing.

Turtles bit thru the mess to get the bait.

I'm sure there are better traps
The quality of the netting didn't seem durable as in the description. It seemed thin and I'm sure crabs would tear through this if I used it for crabbing. It came with the rubber breaking off the metal clamps without even using it. The metal wirings on the trip are pretty flimsy as well. These traps would ideally should come with a rope and bait bags as well. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this trap especially for the price it's being sold at.

Works well for Crawfish
It works well and can catch big Crawfish since the openings are a quite decent size and they still cant get out. It's light and the way it collapses is quite convenient. The only thing that is kind of annoying is getting the crawfish out, Instead of having to untie it to open I just grab them out with some tongs and that works well without having to untie/retie. Good product for the price overall.

Caught hundreds of crayfish and some bullheads
Trap worked very well for crayfish. I floated a can of seafood catfood in the middle, tossed it in near an old bridge and every morning there were hundreds of crayfish in the trap.

Not what I expected
The photos and description sounds great but when I received it and tried expanding, then I realized this is not what I want for a crayfish trap. The openings are not the easiest to maneuver and after careful consideration, ended up returning for something more sturdy and easier to use

Catches crayfish and baitfish
Got 2 of these and had them set out for 2 months total. They are still in good shape. They caught a decent amount of crayfish for me. Even got a couple foot long suckers (which I tossed back.)
