Be For Beauty BOD Mermaid Shimmer Sorbet

I'll preface this by saying I'm almost 29 years old and a parent of a toddler, with a baby on the way, and that I have most definitely not grown out of the mermaid phase. Maybe I should consider myself too old for body glitter, but hey — why not live a little?I think the shimmer in this is subtle enough to get away with it if applied with a gentle touch. It's definitely more of a glitter than a shimmer, and I personally heaped this on during the heatwave to enhance my inner sparkle, but I think it could work for somebody who wanted to add a little dab here or there as something of a body highlight.The only negative I'd mention is that the smell is a little strong (it reminds me of the chemical-y glitter jelly that was all the rage in the late 90s/early 00s) but thankfully the scent faded before long. I'm pretty sensitive to smells, but even after first applying, it wasn't so unbearable that I couldn't deal with it.All in all I love this. For anybody worried that they're 'too old', I say go for it. It made me feel like a sparkly, shimmery goddess of the sea, and I encourage anybody who wants to feel the same to give this sorbet a shot :)

I was really excited by this product as I was going to a festival and so glitter is a part of every day wear. I applied a layer of this in the morning and it did look sparkly to start with, however, by the afternoon my arm had a strange mucky look to it and the glitter had turned more black than glittery. Very disappointing as initially this product looked really promising as the glitter was more of a sheen than big chunks of glitter.

I had great hopes for this at first. A little goes a long way and left a lovely sparkle on the skin. However I had to wash it off as I could not stand the heavy smell. It may just be me and if you dont mind the smell its a great product to use

This is a lovely shimmer cream fir the summer - a moisturising cream with added sheen and shimmer. It's as simple as that!It does transfer though - so beware that clothing you wear can handle the necessary washing needed to clean it all off!Also you need to wash your hands well after application else the sparkle gets everywhere....my curtains have a little shimmer now!Fun stuff!

This moisturiser not only smells beautiful but leaves the skin feeling smooth with a layer of holographic sparkle. The formula dries quickly and the scent stays well over the course of the day. Perfect for a boost of confidence before a big night out. The sparkle photographs well and gives a ‘mermaid’ vibe. The product doesn’t require much to create its dazzling effect so will last for a long time.

UPDATE:My daughter tested this, yes her skin did have the look of a fish out of water, it glimmered silver.However she could not get it off her hands, soap, brushes and copious water made no difference.Later that night after a shower, she went to bed only to discover the sheets were silver in the morning, it transfers to cotton sheets.Don’t say you were not warned!Basically this is a moisturiser with micro plastic glitter particles.Good for nightlife, not so good for ocean marine life!

At first I couldn't find instructions for use anywhere; the promo photos suggest it's for use in the shower, but nothing on the page or on the product itself tells you what to do. After experimenting, I definitely don't think it's for shower use; it leaves a kind of weird greasy film if in contact with water.So using it dry and after a moisturiser, it's just a bit too glittery for me. I used a pea sized amount for the space of my forearm. The glitter pieces are almost too big, it gets everywhere, and it smells a bit chemical. It's not the worst thing and if you're that way inclined and having a very sparkly night out then fair enough, but for me, it's not subtle enough.

This certainly makes you very glittery, skin looks a bit like Edward in the Twilight movies. It doesn’t smell particularly of anything or make your skin particularly soft, just glittery. Very big tube should last a while.
