Maui JimKawika Fashion Sunglasses

My husbands favorite. His third pair of these exact sunglasses. He lost one and one got scratched but both of those are on him. Expensive but around what the price should be for the quality and look.

Very pricey

This is my second pair. I bought my first pair at a local Specs retailer for $300. This pair came with the same official carrying case and Hawaiian themed drawstring bag. Vision is very clear compared to other cheaper brands. I did not realize this until I tried one of my other cheap pair on.Appearance:The lenses are mirror like and the color appearance from the front is variegated with a darker horizontal band through the middle. This band takes on a bluish tint in bright sunlight. This is what makes them stand out from other cheaper brands. The vision from behind the lens is not affected by this color variation.Durability:These glasses fell out of my pocket onto a concrete floor and landed perfectly on the face of the lenses. When I picked them up they appeared scratched, but after cleaning them there were no scratches visible from the outside or during wear. The appearance was as good as new.

I decided to try this color just to see how it was. I had eye surgery 4 years ago and have had some trouble driving with my photo-grey reading glasses-too much glare. These work great. They aren’t my first Maui Jim sunglasses. But my other pair has an old prescription in them that doesn’t work. My eyes continue to change. My red pair hasn’t a prescription and works very well for use in the California sun while driving.

The sunglasses met our high expectations for this company. They are very attractive and well made. Glad that we chose them!

They feel and look cheap, nothing like authentic Maui Jims. Sent these back and had to fill out an incident report with the tracking confirmation that Amazon received them, Yet, they attempt to charge me every day.

I was very hesitant with buying these sunglasses and from previous experience working for the biggest sunglass retailer that is located at every mall. These are the real deal, polycarbonate lens, came in the Maui box, clamshell and lens cloth with the straw. These are well worth the money and you can not be disappointed with these shades. Definitely recommend if you’re trying to have better quality, better fit, better production and best of all Maui Jim’s warranty is the best.

The frame of these glasses are NOT the overall expected Maui Jim quality as expected. They are weak and not the quality in the online description -"Lenses are made with MauiPure material for crisp optics and excellent shatter & scratch resistance. Frames constructed from a strong nylon-nickel combination, designed for extended wear time and durability". I have always been a Ray ban fan but I had an opportunity for a pair of Maui Jims the first wrap frame I got 5 years ago are GREAT so I thought why not and with excitement decided on these. WELL, yes I drop them as I was bent over tying a pair of tiny shoes. They fell from the top of my head not far as if I were standing up and SNAP! The left side of the frame broke from the screw and the right side lens scratched WAHT a disappointment I didn't even have them for 3 months. I reached out to the Seller and was denied an exchange or a return...Too much money to pay for something cheaply made. I wanted to give it 0-1 rating, but I did have my first pair and still do for over 5 years.
