Great detail in expressive faces, but quills are crudely represented and detract from overall look if viewed up close. Weight and scale is best suited for outdoor use, but this one will be part of my wife’s massive collection of all things hedgehog.

The lights in this are really probably more of a gimmick, in my opinion they are a bit more "single point of light" LEDs than they look like in a softened photo, and it's not like they add a significant amount of light. But they work if you leave it in a spot that gets sun in the daytime, and want them to.But the main attraction is a little hedgehog statue, and it does a great job of sitting there looking like a cartoon hedgehog. I'm not sure if it's made of some kind of resin or just tough ceramic, but I don't have much fear of breaking it like, ever.It wasn't notably heavy or light, which is part of why I'm not sure the material; I feel like ceramic would be heavier, but "crappy toy" plastic would be much lighter, so I lean toward extra thick/tough resin-like plastic. The size of it is appropriate and as expected; roughly the size of... The best I could come up with is "a head" , my creativity is apparently lacking today. But you know, normal, bigger than one hand but not too large to easily carry one handed.And once it's been placed where you want it, there's not much reason to touch it again so it's unlikely to "wear out", it should keep looking like a hedgehog for a very long time. And so far, it still does.

About 30 years ago my wife stuck a card with a baby hedgehog in a book I was reading, and for the next 28 years whomever had the card would hide it in some unsuspected place for the other to eventually find. A couple of years ago the card disappeared and neither of us know how or when it went missing. It was silly but a lot of sentimental fun. I got this as a surprise happy and hid it in a bright but somewhat hidden location in the bedroom. When the lights went out the hedgehog lights came on and she discovered it and it made her happy.Yes, this garden decoration is silly, tacky and certainly not something that will be appreciated by all, but it is well made, cute, works well and will fit in on our tacky deck where it will find itself among other solar lighted objects keeping the dark at bay. For us, is a 5-star item.

I ordered the hedgehog and succulent plants solar light. This light comes with a partial charge allowing me to test function immediately. The button on the back is a click-style, so pressing once will turn the light to “on” while pressing twice will turn the light to “off”. It is recommended to allow at least 8 hours of direct sunlight for charging, which I have not had issue with yet.I love how cute this solar light is! Made of a good quality resin and plastic combination, this light will definitely withstand some alternative weather. It is pretty small and lightweight, so I would not recommend leaving it out in high winds. The details look so pretty and add a lovely touch to my small garden area! The lights in the flowers are fairly bright, but not enough so to light a pathway.I would definitely recommend this adorable solar light. The lights work beautifully with a full charge and look great in any garden bed, mulch bed, or outside area! The price is very reasonable for the quality of this product.

Failed to charge or work, it's ok to look at but totally useless....Better to find similar item at a dollar store.
