The digital reptile thermometer is a small yet very accurate and reliable temperature measuring device with a great 1 year free replacement warranty. Keeping tabs on environmental conditions is key to good health for your reptiles and making sure you have a quality thermometer is now easy and inexpensive. This unit is a must have for any serious reptile keeper. The long 39 inch probe makes it easy to measure your terrariums temperature gradient. You can move the probe easily from the warm end of the cage to the cool end. The unit and the probe each have a suction cup so you can mount the thermometer on any smooth surface and you can do the same with the probe.

Great unit, great customer service! Depress power button for 3 seconds to turn the unit off...
I purchased this unit and installed it without testing it out first (I know better than to do this... it just slipped my mind). I bought the unit (along with two others brands in various styles for comparison purposes) in order to monitor a basking area in a vivarium that is currently under construction and which will house eventually an active 6 foot snake (Dash is over 2 feet now and is growing quite rapidly). I epoxied the wire just above the probe to a small rock and buried it under some substrate to keep Dash from dislodging it and then proceeded to build out that part of his enclosure. His screen top was also modified so that the body of the unit could be installed on the front glass panel for easy viewing. After powering up the unit to verify that the basking temperature was within range, I realized that I couldn’t turn the unit off (I depressed the PWR button several times and even tried holding it down but the unit remained on). As one of the other brands that I purchased in the past is designed to remain on always (NOT a feature that I like as it wastes the battery), I emailed Pangea’s customer service and asked if the PWR was meant to toggle the power on and off or if the unit was intentionally designed to stay on, too. To my surprise, they immediately responded (no having to wait days for a response)!!! They assured me that they would make good on the unit if it was defective but told me to try holding the PWR button down for a good three seconds to see if the unit would shut itself off. Of course, that worked!! (Pangea’s customer service is fantastic!)After experimenting with the other thermometers and thermometer/hygrometer combo units that I bought, I have decided to use Pangea units exclusively for Dash’s thermometer needs. One of the other brands sent defective units (the first Reptizoo I received was DOA and the replacement unit only works intermittently so I will not purchase that brand again) and the other, an Inkbird (which is also a hygrometer) is considerably larger than Pangea’s model and I have decided that I prefer the look of smaller footprint in this particular vivarium (though I am using the Inkbird on the cool side of the cage to monitor humidity levels). I have also tried Zoo Med and a couple of knock off brands in the past but was never particularly thrilled with any of those. So, given that Pangea produces a great little unit at a reasonable price and their customer service department ranks among the very best, I highly recommend them. I will definitely be purchasing additional units in the future!

Good thermometers
Temp read out seems accurate. I left them out on my bed for awhile before installing in my snake tank. I got two, one read 67 one read 68, my ac thermostat is set to 67, so pretty accurate. Suction cups work well. I used electrical tape to secure the wires to the inside of the tank so he didnt get tangled in them. Im pleased with them.

Cheap but amazing! Works terrifically!
I wish I had bought this before I had bought a thirty dollar heating pad for my hedgie... If you dont know, hedgehogs have to be kept at a 75 degree temp, or theyll die. Turns out my house is perfect! I regret buying that stupid heating pad though. This works great, and it justs sticks right onto the cage. Love it

Is all good
I had ordered this a week before or more and it worked ( on/off) but it didn't show the numbers, but Pangea reptiles saw I got a faulty thermometer and actually cared about giving great customer service. They reached out apologized and sent one to me and it works! I'm a happy customer :) thank you Pangea reptiles

Best Reptile Thermometer
I use this product to monitor the temperature of my leopard gecko tanks. It’s very accurate, and the probe is long enough that you can place it in different areas of the tank to monitor the temps. The suction cup holds really well and I haven’t had any issues with it falling. It is much better than analog or strip thermometers and it’s pretty inexpensive too!

Seems Solid and Accurate
Seems solid and accurate. I agree with other reviews that the suction cup for the main unit probably would not hold it on, so I didn't even try. I just laid the unit on top of the tank. There is more than enough wire and a suction cup that holds the sensor end where you want it. So if that's not an issue for you, then it's great. It would be better with a larger main suction cup or a clip that hung off the side of the tank (something like that). But for the price, 5 stars.

Great for leopard geckos!
I bought this to use in my leopard gecko's tank to measure ambient air. It works, is easy to read, and seems to be accurate. My gecko doesn't climb walls or use suction cups as a perch, so I don't know the strength if weight were to be put on it. But for regular use, it stays put.

Proven accurate and durable
I bought a large quantity of these since it's so important to maintain awareness of temperatures in my reptile tubs...I have snakes and lizards and I use InkBird monitoring as well as a Herpstat and these have verified the accuracy of these inexpensive little Pangea thermometers.
