Quality fiber mat
After reading reviews looking for a quality growing medium for microgreens was a daunting task. Many mats that looked good in photos I come to find out that most stink(literally). Petroleum distillates and latex binders to hold the mat together. I like everything about these mats. They smell very fresh and natural w/a slight sweet smell. They hold water pretty well. Seeds don't come cheap and if I do the best for the seeds my reward is a healthy harvest. Thankyou. Greybeard

Allows me to use smaller seeds with my sprouting trays
I'm quite happy with these Re-Nuble Renu Terra seed mats. The package comes with 40 5"x5" mats, which is probably enough to last a sprouting newbie like me a very long time. The mats themselves are easily trimmable with scissors. I used three mats with one cut in half to fit into my 11"x8" sprouting trays. With these mats I can sprout smaller seed that would normally fall through the grid on the trays. They are definitely a step up from trying to use paper towels. I had no issues with smell or drying out on my first attempt at sprouting, the mats did exactly as they were supposed to. If I can get the hang of growing microgreens I would definitely purchase more of these in the future.

Simple and Less Attention
What I mean by Less attention is the texture of Re-Nuble Renu Terra Seed Format Mats are pours material they hold water even in sunlight (heat). The 5th picture is day 2 and the last picture was day 4. The process I just used an ordinary cooking tray laid the mats out after soaking the large seeds for a day. T then sprinkle the seeds on the mat and apply filter water directly on tray and watch the mats soak up the water. I cover the tray with aluminum foil for two day when I uncovered and the mats were still wet and mostly soaked. I water them slightly (the tray not the mats), to be on the cautious side (which I did not have to). Bottom line, I did not have to water at all nor did I have to be attentive to the process. Clean up will be a breeze and especially with the greens themselves. Very fast shipping

Terrific for Starting Your Indoor Garden
I grew up gardening and I am excited to try my hand at indoor growing. These mats are perfect for micro greens which I am adding to my diet for health reasons. The mats are small which is great for growing a personal harvest. I love that they are soil free and hopefully means we don't have to worry about many of the food-borne illnesses fresh veg is known for due to bad water and run-off into soil. The mats arrived ready for use and the online instructions are great. Children would enjoy growing the baby veggies too.
