Okay, I accept some of the blame for being unaware what size this was. I had owned one that looked exactly the same...well, I still do own one, but it's at my holiday home 6 hours away. So, I looked for one identical. Saw this and it was the same price as the last, which was extremely well made and fantastic to use.But when this one arrived, ot was 1/3 of the size and capacity of the other. This takes maybe 20 spinach leaves if you really push them in. But because of the pull-cord mechanism (the other had a winding handle that I also preferred) it is very hard to pull the cord the first time if you fill it really full.I contemplated sending it back, but yesterday I did use it and I don't ever send back used items. I will retain this for small mixes. Where I see it being useful is for mixing, say, a single small smoothie for my keto diet, especially if I am using Alpro soya or something like that, and want to mix in all my electrolytes or just a few leaves of something. But I'm still after a bigger one.A note of caution:I'd have given this four stars except that there is no handle or anything to grab onto the lid. This means it's super fiddly, if you have only small hands, to get the lid on and off. This could well lead to you dropping this device and please remember it has a blade in it that's sharp enough to cut off a toe!I can see a few accidents-waiting-to-happen merely because of there being no grab handle on the lid. It would have been such an easy fix and the fact there isn't one is a bit of poor design insight.I have small hands and am a size 8 person so, I can only just hold onto the lid. Even though my fingers can reach the sides, the lid is chunky and difficult to hold onto. But this is a well-made item that works great.

This has turned out to be a great buy. When it arrived I was a bit disappointed and wondered if I had wasted my money but then I used it and boy does it chop. I would warn you not to let go of the handle (that you have to pull to get it to work) as I have let go a couple of times and it snaps down on your finger and is very sore. I am just a bit clumsy so most people would not do this so it isn't likely to be an issue.It chops very well. I have so far used it mainly for chopping salad ingredients really small. Onions, cucumber, celery, garlic, onion and peppers. I would not suggest using it for tomatoes unless you want them mushed.It is easy to clean and I just put it in the dishwasher. I put the blade part in the cutlery section of the machine. I have washed it loads of times and it is fine to put in the dishwasher. It is a lot tougher than it looks.Highly recommend this and I will be buying one for my son and his girlfriend as I know they would like it too.

I bought this to replace my electric mini chopper, which had begun to smell weird, despite careful cleaning. This is so easy to use, provided you don't overfill it, and is excellent for chopping as roughly or as finely as you like (though not great for chopping cranberries). It is very easy to clean, although you do need to shake the water out of the lid sometimes when washing up as it is not watertight. It is also very compact, so very easy to get out of the cupboard, without faffing around with the electric motor or having to unplug something else (there's never enough sockets in my kitchen!). I would definitely recommend this.UpdateSadly I now no longer use this. It just doesn't chop anything very well anymore, despite the 'stay sharp' claim. I can barely chop even a quarter (or less) of an onion without an enormous amount of effort. I have gone back to using a knife and chopping board, even though it means I cry a lot chopping onions! My rating drops to two stars just because it lasted about 3 months, so I got 'some' use out of it.

This was asked by Amazon, after "easy to clean" and "easy to use" - no idea what they mean in this context (I know what sheerness means otherwise). Anyway , great little tool. My only complaint is that the container stained after I'd used it to chop carrots and I couldn't get it clean again. Maybe a glass container would be better. Otherwise, v good.

Very sharp. Much smaller than I expected, this is more for spices and one vegetable at a time, chopped before going in. I made the mistake of not chopping small enough and jammed it first go.Forget about the plastic tool for blending eggs - it works, but flings egg around inside and seeps out of the seams. The device is not sealed properly and does not work with liquids - so the egg whisker is useless and its easier and less mess to use a fork in a bowl. Would recommend getting a bigger one unless you're only doing herbs and spices.

Used for onions, I had to cut the onion small enough to fit in, it’s quite difficult to remove lid (arthritis in hands so bought to help me). I admit I was impressed with how fast it chops the onion, however, it took many “pulls” to get the onions small enough (I’d say diced, but it was more slaughtered)!After 2 uses I dropped the bowl part and it smashed, so in the bin it went!

I absolutely love this product! It's so easy to cut up veggies quickly and can shave so much time off prep time. It's even hardy enough to chop up harder veggies like carrots and parsnips, I just simply roughly chop a little smaller than the softer foods such as onions and peppers. You can adjust the size of by pulling the toggle more or less times. It's particularly useful when making meals you might want to hide veggies in such as bolognaise, chilli and pies. Highly recommend and great price. Has become one of my favourite kitchen gadgets!
