Exactly part. Replaced in less than 15 minutes. Awesome product for the price. A lot less than one from the dealership!!!

I have to give this five stars because of the price. Seriously. This gets the job done and the installation is simple. I have purchased two of these so far for the same truck, so yeah, it lacks a little in quality over time. Buy two. They are cheap!

The handle fits and the rod connections are strong its a good replacement but the handle design will always break over time being it prys on one tab and not both the plastic handle destined to break eventually just a bad design by chevy. But this replacement is like a factory replacement not cheap does the job.

I installed and it works fine. I used the cable clips that came on it, having busted one of the OEM ones disconnecting the old one. Installation is above average in difficulty (not the part's fault) because either you have to cut a portion of the tailgate out (see YouTube videos) or you have to force the old one out by prying the piece of tailgate (plastic) back and then force the new one in (which I did). Because I did not cut out the tab they removed in the YouTube videos, I had my wife reach in with her smaller fingers to connect latch cables to the new clips. Works like a champ, but I don't believe it is quite the quality of the OEM which more or less lasted 14 years, hence the 4 stars vs 5. (I have one of the first 2002 avalanches I purchased new.). 4 stars instead of 5 because of perceived lower quality than OEM (quality as low as the 7x difference in price vs GM oem though!)
