Discovering Boogie & Blues Piano: A Systematic Method for Learning Licks, Accompaniment Patterns and Improvisation

I would recommend everybody to stay away from this book. I ordered it and it turned up without the cd that is supposed to come with it, so I sent it back, got a refund and ordered another, and low-behold, it turned up without the cd again.Considering every page of the book relates to a track on the cd I would imagine that it is pretty relevant and I’m assuming that there are a mass load of these books being sold without the cd. Clearly the ones on Amazon for a start.I was really looking forward to getting this book and working my way through it but now I shall be sending it back for the second time and I shan’t be buying another.What a flop!

An 'everything in C' book. Methodical, but dry and directing.

Such a clear and concise book, much better than all the others I have tried, Yes even better than Tim Richards Improvising Blues Piano.Such a well thought out step by step approach.

Yes, like the other reviewer said, this is better than tim richards book. I learnt the basics well from that book but the song examples weren't good enough to keep my interest. it all seemed like blues written by a jazz player with bad taste.
