The Housemaid Is Watching

Enthralled…
I could not put this book down. Each book was better than the last. I didn’t think it was possible. It had suspense, it was psychological thrilling, the twists was hard to keep up with but I loved it. I won’t give away any of the details in the book. What I will say is you will not be disappointed. It is a absolutely great read: The Housemaid series. Looking forward to some more of Ms McFadden’s books. Thank you.

I hope the series is done now!
This is my least favorite series by this author - book 1 was EH, book 2 a little better, but book 3 was the best of them all. I am hoping that they are done with this character as there can't be anymore that can be written about her or her husband, Enzo. The reader needs to read the previous books in the series to understand what is happening (and even then they have questions)...The plot is unique, it is fast moving (mostly) and at times it is entertaining, but it is just not this reader's cup of tea. It needs more drama, angst, twists...it doesn't wow me like her other books. Overall a decent read and one that a true fan of the author should read, but again, not my favorite series or characters by the author.

⭐️⭐️⭐️
okay, this was something. The first 50% of the book was definitely not a murder mystery at all. It was more of an “Signs my husband could be cheating on me” book. Idek. But, my blood pressure was definitely was as high as Millie. (I hate anything close to cheating troop 😒). Millie was definitely stronger than me, because I would have claw at that woman from day one.Anyway, the twists were kinda unexpected though. Signs were there, but I didn’t even know where this was going until like 70%. I still don’t think the story really fully flushed out for me. So many things were left to the imagination.Overall, it was okay and interesting while I was reading it!

Great book!
I was honestly a bit bored the first half of the book, but then it got REALLY interesting! I’m glad this had a bit of a different turn from the first two books, but some of the same thrilling and suspenseful feelings. If you’ve read the first two, I definitely recommend giving this a go as well. Just give it time to become gripping.

The third in a series usually isn’t that great, so it’s not his fault. Today I am reading
The third in a series usually isn’t that great, so it’s not his fault. Third best book of the series. Nice little twist in the end, as well as the tie-in of old characters.

I’m addicted
Freida’s book series “the Housemaid” is captivating. I’m so happy I stumbled upon her books and got hooked. They are so easy to read, for a slow reader, I read four books for her already in a couple of months. I hope she keeps “the Housemaid” series going with Ada somehow.

the perfect ending
to an amazing series. i wasn't sure what to expect exactly, and i got so much more than i bargained for. i absolutely had no idea "who dunnit" until we switch povs for the first time. i couldn't believe my eyes! Millie has truly come to a point in her life where everything she wants has happened - her life is finally "normal", but it never stays that way for long. with two households of creepy neighbors and weird things happening with her husband, she turns right back to the Millie we know and love, but this time... with a completely unexpected twist.

Spoilers!!!
I was expecting a better, more jaw dropping ending as Im used to from her other books, but didn't came. Janice could had been just a nosy neighbor, adding the kid wasn’t necessarily since it went nowhere.Would had been more tasteful if The maid had been the mother of the missing child taking revenge somehow after connecting the dots by seeing evidence at the house or something i don't know . Because Killing Jonathan just to scape was meh really. Also made me sooooo mad how Millie let Suzette act the way she did around her husband right in front of Millie’s face like wtf!! When they were at the beach that just made me so furious. No woman on their right mind would let that slide. I thought Millie was more gutsy.Good read but not too thrilling.

Great twist
My least favorite of the trilogy, like everybody else, I thought that the start was a bit slow and repetitive, but it is worth it at the end. Great twist as per usual!

nope nope nope
Painful to read. Could not get to the end. Apart from Enzo s silly Italian way of talking that made him sound dumb (i m Italian, and of all the English mistakes we make, taking off all articles is not one of them), the plot is slow, the story absolutely unrealistic and Millie and Enzo relationship is based on zero communication capacity.
