Science Museum Colour Projection Thermo Clock

I have had one of these clocks for about 10 years or there about I have just ordered a new one for my sons bedroom I have had this model for about 2 years now & it is very good I love the fact that with the projection stays on with the mains plugged in it had taken me a long time to find one that does stay on. I have looked at some of the reviews about this clock & I have had no problems with mine or I would not buy one for my son. I do think that they should put a dimmer switch on for the screen as it is bright & it may affect some people from sleeping, it doesn't affect the wife or myself. the design of this clock is nice & modern looks good & the projecting time is big enough for my wife to see it without her glasses on witch in its self is very good as she has very bad eye sight. I have had no issues with the temperature or humidity displays like some people have had.all in all I think it's a nice style, good time keeping, projector Clock, that's why I am getting 2 of them 1 in my bedroom & 1 in my son's bedroom.

It's a pity, as no power adaptor is included.When I ordered this I misleadingly thought that the sentence "There is a continuous projection function which can only be used when the adaptor is plugged in", which is in the Product Description, meant that the adaptor was included.How silly of me as there was also a sentence at the top of that page that says, "Requires 2 x AA batteries". Obviously the two statements seem to cancel each other out.So, I have now had to buy a power adaptor as I use this only to project the time on the ceiling while I'm sleeping, which it does excellently. Its other uses are not really relevant to me but, when I tried using the alarm, I didn't like the harsh tone.

Prompt delivery, amazing product for the price. the projection numbers are big enough to see on the ceiling eveen for someone as blind as me without glasses. the display is easy to read and very well lit.

The product description states that the item receives an MFS radio signal, projects in multiple colours & has 2 AA batteries included. In reality, the clock DOES NOT receive an MFS signal so does not self-correct the time, the display only projects red rather than changing colours & it actually takes 2 AAA batteries which WERE NOT included.If you're trying to get a replacement for the earlier model of the Science Museum Clock (which did do all the things that this description says this clock will do), I can only suggest (strongly) that you don't. This is a totally inferior model to its predecessor.

The clock's display is too bright, whilst the projected time is too easily obscured by even a low level of ambient light. Basically near dawn or dusk the projection feature is a waste of time. The temperature feature is constantly re-drawing itself, thus causing distracting movement on the bedside table, whilst the data it displays is next to useless. The controls of the clock are awkwardly placed on the rear panel.Very surprised the science museum has put it's name to thus piece of poor design.

I purchased this clock for my son for Christmas. Unfortunately, the clock did not work due to the power cable not being in the box and I contacted the Seller accordingly. They were extremely helpful but I chose to have a refund rather than a replacement and without any complications, my request was honoured. I think I was just unlucky and I would therefore recommend.

Just what I wanted. It was given as a gift and the reports back are excellent.

Think this clock is great. Have it by my 7yrs bed so he can see the time easily. Numbers are brilliantly clear on the ceiling. Don't expect it to tell me the weather outside etc- he can look out the window to see that!
