This is a fantastic set. From what I understand it is not a genuine Dewalt... I don't care, the drill and hammer drive are strong and the battery life is fantastic. I can't recommend it enough.

DeWalt is one of the greatest brands I have ever used, it's worth it for it's price, and remember you get what you paid for. The tools are very high quality. It might be pricy BUT, compare to the other drill I have, DeWalt is 10 times more better and efficient.

Far too early to talk about quality/reliability but initial impressions are great. Ergonomics, performance and design. Most notably, ~$130 for an impact wrench, drill *and* two batteries from a trusted supplier? Yes please. The burning smell others reported was something I experienced. I haven't started the project I bought these for and experienced it only after briefly testing the impact driver. Guessing, maybe a residual chem left over from the manufacturing process? I've experienced this with an electrical/mechanical automotive product, expect that it will dissipate. They also feel less substantial/lighter than the my (still working) ~24yr old DeWalt equivalents. This may only mean that it's components have evolved over the years, not necessarily an indicator of anything else. For commercial use, I'd buy further up the line but for the weekend warrior, these may be everything you need. Great starter set/gift for first time home buyers. The selling point is the brand. Trust is hard won and a never ending struggle for manufacturers to maintain but so far for me, Dewalt's delivered. Happy customer, highly recommended.

Do not buy this if you live in the UK. I have no idea whether this item is good or bad. It came with what appears to be an American charger. There was no warning on the box or the charger that this would fail if plugged into the UK mains.
