High Intensity, fast paced and grimdark style writing. Main Character ‘Val’ is a Hero of the old school, saving all he can and punishing himself for those he ‘failed’ to save. The bad guys are not so lucky! Excellent reading 9/10

I have never read this Author before so I was not sure what to expect, I have to say the book doesn't disappoint. Starts slowly as all good Books seem too do, great build up to when Val enters Endless Online. To be honest I'm not which world was real, ours or theirs. Its left entirely to your imagination, really great characters and a great storyline very believable. The action is non stop and Intense, I loved it from start to finish. I can't wait to read book two in the series. Fab

The first 20% was a little slow, but it's important backstory. The rest is a beautifully crafted story of adventure in an alien universe. I'm looking forward to reading the next book.Although I still don't understand, if allied spells screw with tech around them so much, why don't enemy spells like those from the wraiths also screw with the tech. How would wizards have possibly lost the war with the north when the enemy's weapons and defenses don't work as soon as they let out their mana fluctuations. The explanations given in the book seem a little flawed but maybe I'm missing something that will be explained later.

Okay checked this first book in series just to see.I was not disappointed at all. The transition from earth to other realm, character development all in point ! Highly recommend

The title of the post says it all - intriguing, well written with a lot of potential to develop into a truly epic adventure of galactic proportions. can’t wait starting the second book :)

I really enjoyed this book & right after this its onto the second book. The authors up there in the litrpg top ten. Good storyline & well thought out. If this is the authors first litrpg book its hit the bullseye

Really confusing start , MC Valor isn't interesting or smart and the magic system did nothing but confuse me , there's a good story in there somewhere but the characters weren't interesting enough to pursue.

The back story is extremely detailed which pulls you right into this world. The online game:is it a game or an alternative reality. Is earth the game? Mysterious twists and turns in the plot. Magical battles. Some horror.

I really enjoyed reading this. The imagery used is amazing and draws you into the book so easily.It was such a pleasure to read. :)

Fantastic plot line. This is a series and the first book is worth reading. You don’t want to miss the beginning, so start here. I’m drooling for the 6th book in the series! There is power in sacrifice, and this book strikes right at the heart of how a person who does can feel betrayed, and yet overcome in the end. Though you won’t feel like the overcoming is happening at all! “This ain’t Kansas, and you ain’t Bill Hickok”, if you get my meaning... There is a twist to this LitRPG series that has taken me into a far different mindset and level of excitement than I expected! I highly recommend to avid readers who are bored with the usual fare.

Non stop, over the top action, OP MC and plot armour a thick as the Taj Mahal is wide. Reserve my judgement until I read a few more books in this series.

Well written story that draws you in and won't let you go. Well worth picking up, whether you are a fan of LitRPG or Sci-fi and Fantasy.

Unlike the vast majority of the genre, this book has a genuinely interesting and complex narrative that would stand tall even with the gaming elements stripped away. Some of the more esoteric elements get lost as the author perhaps tries to be a bit too clever, but on the whole a brilliant tale.
