Why why have the word plastic in a supposedly natural product?

Hello Dear buyer, this is an error from the cataloging team and the word plastic was used in the title to only differentiate between the two product variants we have. 1. The paper packaging deo and 2. the pocket size deo which comes in a (fully recycled) plastic container. Unfortunately the cataloguing team isnt able to help us in changing the title. Rest assured this the formula we use in both the variants is the same, and is completely skin safe with natural actives.

We run multiple batches in a month since we hand make them in small batches. So product delivered is usually not more than 1month old, usually two weeks. Shelf life is 2 years when stored in cool dry place.

This has baking soda ? Which is harmful for the skin. How is it skin safe...pls explain

Hi Apoorva,

Thanks for a great question. We love that our fellow naturalists and customers ask the right question and take interest in what goes into their products.

Baking soda has been used in skin care for exfoliation and a number of other home remedies. It can be harsh on skin if it is in very high concentration as it increase the PH value of the formula you apply on skin, causing dryness and irritation. High PH products generally are harsh on skin.

But in the right quantity, baking soda has many beneficial properties; one of them is its antibacterial nature. It is the most popular active ingredient used in DIY and commercially available natural deodorants globally. As long as the PH value of the formula is within permissible limits, and has emollients and moisturising agents, it works great on the skin. We use mango butter, beeswax and a mixture of carrier oils as our moisturising agents.

Having said that there are certain (rare) skin types which are very sensitive and react to baking soda and should avoid using products with it. To make this easier most brands like us have usage instructions printed in the back to inform users about the contents and how-tos of the product.
