Works Great for a Sprain
I sprained my thumb and it was very painful to use or if it got bumped. This protects the injured thumb from bumps and holds it straight. It also eliminates the pain during the day. I use it during the day whole I work on the computer, without an Issue. It is a bit bulky but I don't mind that. The metal in the top of the brace is what secures the thumb in place. The velcro straps are easily adjustable and very secure. I have been washing these in a garment bag. Sometimes I still have to take it off to do things, like cooking n the kitchen. My thumb hurts when I leave these all day though due to not moving it at all so I take it off to sleep. I will still have to go to the doctor at some point to get a medical grade split to heal my two month old injury. I saved one to give to my mother since she often injuries her finger working on the farm. I am extremely thankful for this splint.

Better than other styles
Much better than some of the other styles I tried. It fits well and keeps my thumb stable. Surprisingly, it worked even after keeping it on during daily showers, which was helpful because washing my hair caused my thumb to very painfully lock without it.

Came quickly as promised. Durable, did help.my trigger finger. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was lack of instruction

Makes life more livable!
This little thumb brace is making living with trigger thumb possible at the moment until I figure out how this can be healed I truly wouldn't be able to function right now without this brace. I was delighted to find several in the box; I thought I was paying for just one!With this brace, my thumb does not bend and lock painfully, needing me to unclick it. (OUCH!) This week, I bought large dishwashing gloves that fit over the brace, so that I do not have to take it off to wash dishes. Larger hand braces, which can be great for stabilizing the basal thumb joint (CMC joint) and that, in some cases, also protect the trigger thumb, are so bulky, cumbersome to take off and put on, and make wearing gloves in the cold winter here impossible. I can wear winter gloves with the brace on.I am very grateful for this little product that makes a big difference in my life right now.Now to find my path to healing this thumb!

Lightweight, does the job
These work well for keeping your thumb from bending. Lightweight and not hot, but edges of the Velcro tabs stick on everything and get caught on fabric and clothing. I recommend putting something over the splint so that does not happen if you’re wearing a good sweater, etc
