An Excellent Coffee Table Book on Coffee!!
I know the author from the Home-Barista website. I knew even before reading that it will be a good book. However, after having bought it I can now confirm that this is indeed an excellent book. The compilation, with a lot of pictures, is styled to make it a "Coffee Table Book" ironically on the subject of coffee!I leave it near my coffee machine for people to browse through. Guests invariably quiz me on coffee when they see my home coffee setup. Now, as it happens, I can just hand them this book to browse through as they sip a fresh cappuccino or a macchiato that I have just poured out using home roasted beans.

Just the perfect balance of simplicity and useful information!
I wasn't exciting this book to be so good and complete. It's been on my wishlist for ages and bought it because the price went down to an amazing price. It provides information about the plant and beans, different regions where it's cultivated. How to grind it, the main brewing methods (sadly Turkish coffee is not explicitly mentioned), how to taste the coffee, among other things. It deserves its 4.4 rating on goodreads

an excellent book that looks great too
I really like this book. First impressions are that it looks brilliant, the pictures are great, and the cover is tactile (meant to feel like a coffee sack). In terms of the contents I think it's brilliant. It's easy to read, explains terms clearly and is very interesting. The photography is brilliant. The book talks about the origins of coffee, to process of production, different fruits locations and brew methods. All along the way the impact upon taste is commented upon. I would highly recommend this book for personal use or as a gift.

A well produced book
This was for a present but of course I had a look through first. Plenty of information, perhaps if you are well into coffee and have studied a bit this may be bit basic but it seems a fun book to own.

Must-read for those interested in the finer points of coffee growing, brewing and drinking
I found this book interesting, engaging, informative without being at all patronising. Even though I'd done a bit of reading about coffee previously, there was lots of new information in it and some things I already knew presented in better context or with a new slant. The book itself feels really substantial and high quality, and there are some great photos in it for visual interest.

Thoroughly enjoyable read for all types of people!
This is an amazing book packed with information and the quality of the book is second to none! I decided to treat myself to a good "bed-time story book" to satiate my love of coffee through James' creation and I am pleasantly surprised by the amount of illustration and details packed into this aesthetically-pleasing book. It really does encompass a lot of modern day issues/processes that are occurring and helps me feel more connected to the industry that so wish to be a part of but I digress.Anyways, if you enjoy an elegant book which tickles your coffee palate then I'd say go right in and enjoy every page turn!

A beautifully illustrated hard back version to be re-read often.
My grandson won`t be able to put this book down, as it contains so much information about the subject he is currently so interested in, and intends to pursue as a long-term career. He will treasure it.

Great entry to coffee
If you’re new to coffee and want to find out more, this is a really accessible book. Easy read and takes you through from the history of coffee, growing of the beans, processing to ‘coffee’ and then how to choose, brew and taste your coffee. There’s also some stuff on your coffee ‘kit’ and the various coffee growing countries. A really good allrounder book for yourself or as a gift.

Very informative, great read
Very interesting read, packed full of facts and interesting bits of info. Really opens your eyes to the world of coffee. Written by a World Barista Champion and co-founder of the great Square Mile roasters in London, this had a lot to live up to and it certainly does. Highly recommended for anyone into their coffee and interested in finding out more about how it's grown, processed and roasted.

Loved by a coffee buff!
I bought this with hope that my coffee buff friend would like it, I struck lucky it was a book he'd seen and he says it's been a good read, phew!

Depends on your love of coffee
It's definitely interesting but probably only a one time read for those with a passing interest. For the more passionate coffee lover definitely a 5 star read
