Affordable simple place to start with digotal
Digital signal can now do easily and quickly what guitar players cannot do easily with analog--program profiles that sound very similar to famous guitar players we all have tries to sound like for decades. This is a simple and affordable way to start working in digital, and go from analog signal chain to digital signal chain, quickly. This nux mg 101 is really easy to use. It is simple to understand and comes with an ac adapter, but also runs on batteries. This means you can realistically use it practically anywhere. You can run it through just about anything headphones, a computer, a phone, a pa, a clean guitar amplifier, or an frfr. Really intuitive, and sounds good. Easy to program, fun and simple to use. I won't get rid of my analog gear, which for me is tube amps and pedals, but now I have analog and this new, for me, digital way to create. Also, this is a lot lighterand smaller to schlep around and set than a deluxe reverb. I like other NUX pedals that I have and this is also high quality for the price. I really struggle with loopers, but this one is fine. 20 and 40 seconds, enough to lay down A track to play over. I never have played any guitar signal in stereo but you can with this. I hate practicing to a click metronome, even though it is so essential, but i love pracricing to the nux drum tracks in this unit and another nux pedal i have, the drum loop pro which of course i underutilize! the drums in this unit are good to play over. As some point out the volume between each profile varies, but you can equalize it with the expression pedal set as volume, and i wont use most profiles live, and never without preparing them for live use first. But for me that volume issue is pretty minor, as I will mostly program my own profiles, with the volume set equal for the profiles i will actually use, and use those for playing out live which is where it really matters to me. Does it match the sound of my deluxe alone or through a pedal board into a deluxe? No, but it gets pretty close. Not only for clean but also for high gain and all in between. Can most people tell the difference? Some can. Will any of them care? Probably only the same ones that care if it's a fender or squire, a gibson or epiphone that you are holding. Have fun.

Who Could Possibly Complain?
I think it's a great contribution to guitarists. The sounds are absolutely marvelous. Who could possibly complain? It's easy enough to use, although, there is a bit of a learning curve.

The latest chips technology equals the best sounds!!!
This multi effects unit has the best most realistic sounds in its price range that I feel is a breakthrough in technology with its latest chips realism in tube sounding of various guitar amp simulations and cabinet simulations too is good technology for beginners to pros in realistic sounds and effects built in it too for the money great value for this technology recently available to guitarists of all levels!!!

Great except for one major flaw.
These are great. Several YouTube videos to help you use it effectively. The foot pedal is suppose to switch from a WahWah to a Vol control. No matter how hard I press on the foot pedal, it will not engage the switch located under neath the pedal. I can stick my finger in there to switch it, so the switch works, its the foot pedal that is not pushing on the switch. Seems like a bit of a design flaw or manufacturing issue. It would be nice if they fixed this. Rest of the unit is flawless.

A nice pedal with a pretty major design flaw
This pedal has it all-- a ton of different effects, all the necessary ports to hook it up to your PC and jam with music on YouTube, plenty of options to change the sound of your guitar, etc. It even has a robust PC app to change the foot pedal settings in real-time. Where it falls short is the lack of a power switch or power button. I inadvertently left it on for a while and eventually the unit died. This is a very strange design flaw that should be fixed in future revisions. I would probably still recommend this unit because when it was working, it worked great. But be sure to unplug the power cable after use, because there is no way to turn it off otherwise. Because a power switch is a very basic/fundamental part of any electronic device (cheap or expensive), I felt like I needed to take off two stars here. 3 stars is still better than one, so this is not exactly a bad review.

power adapter included!
I was fooled by the "Frequently bought together" power adapter suggestion. Window 10 Pro 64B I'm from last century...I think all the MG 101 sounds are fantastic. This was practically plug and play. Everything worked as the instructions said they would. After years of trying to get Audacity to do what I wanted I discovered Cakewalk by Bandlab is now free and the instructions and YT videos were straightforward enough that I got recording signal just hours after installing both. The instructions for the MG are minimal and some guessing will be required which would be daunting for a beginner...but it works. My impression of the presets is that they were aiming primarily at 'metal' fans but the software and choices mean I will be able to alter everything I want.

Screen was installed incorrectly…
Just received this unit today and the screen was installed incorrectly. You can’t see the the bottom row characters of what the effect/Amp is and looks like it was overlooked when being built… Apparently there is no quality control in China but what else is new? Disappointed and returning this and will look into more reputable brands…
