I was after a budget watch that I could use whilst doing DIY, gardening, metal detecting, and hiking - in other words, a timepiece that would handle a few knocks, some dirty conditions, and the occasional spate of wet weather. After much research, I decided to purchase this one from the BiDen range and I’m very pleased I did so. This is an excellent watch for the price. It’s easy to set up, it’s lightweight and comfortable to wear, the numerals are clear and bold which makes it easy to tell the time even in harsh sunlight, and it actually looks good on the wrist. In addition, it features a date window, and the hour, minute and second hands are luminous so the time can be viewed in the dark.The build quality ain’t bad either, I particularly like that the backplate is secured by 4x Philips screws making it easy to remove to change out the battery. The bottom line is that if you’re after a practical, budget, no-frills watch, then you really cannot go wrong with getting yourself one of these. Highly recommended.

A very good low price watch...the only slight issue is that the luminous hands are not that clear. The day function has a reassuring click as you select the correct date, and the time adjustment is also solid. The resin strap is comfortable and this watch is very comparable to the casio of a similar design. The bezel doesn't rotate but that isn't a feature I would use. I have note tested the water proof ability of the watch, but this is a bargain product so as long as it's able to withstand a few rain splashes or a shower I'm OK with that.

For such a cheap watch it looks great and keeps time well. Great for an everyday watch. The only gripe is the glow in the dark hands don't glow very long but thats not really important at this price point.

I bought this inexpensive wristwatch because my automatic omega was causing issues - and had to be returned to the watchmaker. The Biden watch is great - keeps perfect time - has a date function - I did not require a stopwatch - is comfy wear , and smart - ticks all the boxes

Excellent price and a great looking watch. easy to read dial and waterproof too. Have been swimming whilst wearing watch and all OK.

If your looking for a cheap watch for your child for school this is buy again good quality easy to set easy to read waterproof size is good even for a small 11 year old it’s durability is strong and the display brightness is decent too if buy again

In all honesty it works excellent and keeps very good time. The rubber strap is worth more than the watch and actually fits and feels like a premium strap making it surprisingly comfortable. The case and glass are both plastic so the watch weighs nothing. All in all it a decent purchase for a beater watch that you don't care about

Nice good watch for the money, what surprised me I paid over 300 for diver watch and can't see the date clear the way I see it with this watch , this watch date is clear and big to see its also very light u forget u are wearing it . Thanks

I’m a fan of big watches…this one looks great, keeps track of the date and is water resistant. I can keep it on all day without worrying I’m going to mess it up…I live on a boat that I’m refurbishing…this is a very practical choice for me!

Die Uhr ist preisgünstig, wirkt aber nicht billig!Im Gegenteil, sie ist präzise verarbeitet, - kleines Beispiel, auch wenn es relativ unwichtig ist: der Sekundenzeiger trifft exakt den Punkt über der Ziffer, ich sammle schöne Uhren, überwiegend Fliegeruhren (war mal Privatpilot), "billige" wie sehr teure (bis 8.000 Euro), Hauptsache sie gefällt mir, - und auch bei teuren Uhren habe ich schon erlebt, daß der Sekundenzeiger nicht präzise ist.Die Uhren (habe zwei gekauft, mit grünem und schwarzem Gehäuse, weiße und grüne Ziffern) gehen sehr genau wie die meisten Quarzuhren überhaupt, aber keineswegs alle. Der Stil ist Militär/Fliegerei, besonders die mit grünen Ziffern erinnert mich an meine jungen Jahre, als die Cockpitinstrumente noch analog und die Ziffern grün waren. Die Ziffern leuchten nicht, wohl aber die Zeiger, - ich war ganz überrascht als ich nachts wach wurde und noch nach Stunden die Zeit ablesen konnte ohne Licht anzumachen. Heute geht das wieder, früher gab es aber jahrzehntelang keine Leuchtziffern mehr, oder nur schwache und nur für einige Minuten. Das lag daran, daß sie noch im Krieg aus radioaktivem Phosphor waren, und es Fälle von Hautkrebs am Handgelenkt gab. Wie man es heute macht weiß ich nicht, Phosphor ist es aber bestimmt nicht mehr.Die Gehäuse sind aus Kunststoff, können also nicht verkratzen. Das Glas ist allerdngs nicht "aus Deutschland importiertem Mineralsalz" - die chinesischen Übersetzungen sind übrigens richtig lustig, aber chinesisch-deutsch kriegt auch Google nicht so perfekt hin wie englisch-deutsch. Aber der Werbetext ist für alle Uhren derselbe, möglicherweise gibt es ja andere Modelle des Herstellers, die tatsächlich Glas haben. Früher bis ca. 1975/80 hatten alle, auch sehr teure Uhren Kunststoffgläser, oft gewölbt, was mit Mineralglas sowieso nicht möglich war, allerdings konnte sie jeder Uhrmacher ersetzen wenn sie verkratzt waren. Das mußte man aber bezahlen, und wird hier sicher nicht möglich sein, - na da kaufe ich mir eben eine komplett neue Uhr, ist bei dem Preis auch nicht teurer als früher ein neues Uhrglas.Wie früher beim Barras, wie das fliegende Personal erzählte: Uhr im Eimer, also ab zum Kammerbullen und eine neue holen. Der Uhrmacher von der Instandsetzung tauschte dann das Gehäuse gegen ein neues aus. Die Junghans-Chronographen waren nämlich aus weichem Leichtmetall (antimagnetisch wegen dem Bordkompaß) und sahen alsbald aus wie Schrott, Kunststoff wäre besser gewesen. Die Kunststoffarmbänder der China-Uhren werden auch nicht ewig halten, könnten aber vom Uhrmacher gewechselt werden."Waserdicht bis 50 meter" liest man auch bei diversen anderen Uhren, manchmal sogar "bis hundert Meter". Aber das ist immer Quatsch, wer taucht schon so tief, um es mal auszuprobieren? Außerdem bräuchte man dafür professionelle Ausrüstung einschließlicch einer echten Profi-Taucheruhr, Hobbytaucher können das sowieso nicht, und ungefähr bei hundert Metern war im Krieg sogar für U-Boote schluß, - nur um es mal zu erzählen!Aber duschen und schwimmen? Also ich tue es auch mit einer teuren Uhr vorsichtshalber niemals! Die Dichtungen halten nicht lange und müssen regelmäßig vom Uhrmacher überprüft und ggf. ersetzt werden, natürlich nicht umsonst. Und kommt Wasser rein, kann schlimmstenfalls das Uhrwerk schon nach wenigen Stunden irreparabel verrostet und die Uhr kaputt sein! Deswegen haben besonders teure Uhren oft ein vergoldetes Uhrwerk, u.a. auch die o.g. Junghans-Fliegeruhren. Also im Prinzip nur Werbegedöns, nicht nur bei China-Uhren.Der äußere Minutenring am Gehäuse ist nicht drehbar, habe ich aber auch bei teureren Uhren schon so gesehen. Bei einer beweglichen Drehnuelette kann man die Nullmaarkierung auf den Minutenzeiger drehen und dann mit einem Blick ablesen, wie lange man fährt oder fliegt, ohne sich die Abfahrtszeit oder Flugzeit merken zu müssen. Aber wann braucht man das schon im täglichen Leben? Für Piloten oder Taucher kann es indes entlastend sein, weil man sich noch auf vieles andere konzentrieren muß.Die Batterie: nun, der Weg aus China ist lang, und wenn zigtausende Uhren weltweit verschickt werden kann es schonmal vorkommen, daß die Batterie fast leer ankommt. Ich hatte mal eine chinesische Cockpit-Uhr fürs Auto gekauft; sah solide aus, aber am Morgen stellte sich heraus, daß die Uhr nachts offenbar mehrere Stunden nicht gelaufen hatte und um Stunden nachging. Ich wollte sie schon verärgert wegwerfen, brachte sie aber zum Uhrmacher, weil ich sowieso in der Nähe zu tun hatte. Und tatsächlich -- die Uhr war niicht kaputt, sondern die Batterie war fast leer. Also eine neue für 10 Euro, - seitdem läuft die Uhr seit Monaten genau! Na gut, sie hat dann statt 14 Euro eben 24 Euo gekostet, ich bin ja nicht bettelarm und auch kein Geizkragen, , andere Cockpituhren gibt es sowieso nicht mehr, alle mehr oder weniger gleich und aus China, die Batterie wird lange halten und ich habe was ich wollte.Noch zu den "Totaler Schrott"-Rezensionen: bei der vermutlich exorbitanten Produktionsrate sind fehlerhafte Exemplare, auch in - relativ - großer Anzahl unvermeidlich. Das ist nunmal der Preis der Globalisierung. Aber wenn kostenlose und bequeme Amazon-Rücksendung vorliegt, einfach - nötigenfalls auch zwei - oder dreimal -., zurücksenden und neu bestellen, solange bis man eine gute Uhr und für wenig Geld hat.
