Cotton Small Backpack, Morning Glory, One Size

I absolutely love this little Vera Bradley backpack! The Scottie dog design is adorable and festive, and the quilted cotton feels soft but sturdy. It’s the perfect size for everyday use—small enough to be lightweight but still roomy enough for my essentials like my wallet, phone, keys, and a few extras. The pockets are well-placed and practical, and the quality of the stitching and embroidery is excellent. It’s one of those bags that’s both cute and functional, and I’ve already gotten compliments on it.

This has become a favorite handbag. Lightweight, maintains its shape with contents, iPad fits inside. Classic, slim & tailored-looking for a backpack. Zippers work smoothly, is soft but sturdy, comfortable to carry several ways. Has inside & outside pockets, one has secure zip. Roomy side pockets for water bottle, keys, lipstick, mace.

I absolutely love this backpack! I have been using it ever since I purchased it. The backpack is comfy to wear and a perfect size. I wanted something that was a little bigger than a mini backpack but not so big it was like I was going to school. This size was exactly what I was looking for. I love how the inside is a design but the outside is a solid color that matches anything I wear with it. It has a small pocket on the back where you can put stuff. The small zipper compartment on the front is convenient and holds a good amount of stuff and has pen holders and a small pocket within it. On the inside there is one big zipper pocket that holds a ton of stuff and it doesn’t spill out. My only complaint is on the inside there are also two smaller pockets that would be great if the snapped or zipped closed. I hold chapstick, travel sized perfume and some other small things in these pockets that aren’t big but since the pockets don’t zip or snap closed everything is constantly falling out of them especially if I reach in and grab something from the bottom of the bag like my keys or wallet usually everything falls out of those pockets as I bring the items up. Other than those two small pockets this backpack is perfect and if I am ever in need of a new backpack I would 100% reorder despite the pocket issue I face.

5 stars is probably a bit overrated but this is a good small backpack. Feels well made and soft. Most important it’s a good size for short excursions. It’s amusingly almost the same size as the toddler backpacks my kids have/had but with longer straps. It fits a 32oz tall skinny water bottle just barely and then another normal diameter one next to it. This was the “well I need something a bit bigger than a fanny pack but still hands free” bag and it will do the trick.

Slightly too small for a 12" iPad. I have the same pattern (Sea Air Floral) in the Campus Backpack, I just wanted a smaller bag. The iPad would fit if the top were just a teensy bit less round. I was set to return it, but, well, I like it. I'll use my Campus Backpack if I need to carry my iPad. It's got two outside zipper pockets and one inside zipper pocket. Doesn't have the little strap to hook your keys to, like the larger backpack, but that's okay. It's good quality, and very pretty.

Experience with this print on 2 different backpacks: I ordered the Enchantment print fully expecting to have oddly placed horses, because that’s pretty much my luck with prints, and I was fine with that. Unfortunately, this bag only had a head and bottom on the straps, no horses anywhere else. I feel like the contrast between the horse and the rest of the print makes it so that animal is really the drawing point of the print, so to not have it anywhere on the actual backpack was severely disappointing. I’m leaving this review after receiving a replacement that’s even worse than the first (save for the fact it has foxes on the front, while the other didn’t even have those on the front). There are no horses on the bag at all. None lol. So, do yourself a favor if you’re considering this print for this specific backpack and don’t buy it unless you love everything except the horses. Idk if the website is getting all the flops or if the print on the backpacks is just awful, but I’m so disappointed. The full print looked so pretty. I ordered the organizer too, so I’ll update here if that’s also missing the horses. Backpack itself: The backpack feels very sturdy and high quality. I normally avoid bags with fabric interior this thin because they tend to fall apart quickly, but this feels quite sturdy. I have other VB bags, but this is my first backpack. It has a good sized but shallower open pocket that faces your back when worn. Inside, it has a large zip pocket and 2 medium-ish open pockets (I can almost fit my whole hand in them and I have fairly big hands for a woman, so, they’re nice lol). On the front, there is a zip pouch and inside there are 2 open pen pouches and 1 open pouch, a little shallower and wider than the ones inside. There are two exterior side pouches that can fit a regular sized (16oz) water bottle. Can probably fit one of the thin, 16oz(?) hydroflasks. The padded straps are very comfortable and adjustable, and the bag itself is quite roomy. In case it needs to be said, it will not fit a small laptop (13”) but may just fit a bigger kindle or tablet. Overall, I’d buy this in the future in a different print, but for now I vastly prefer my featherweight backpack. It’s slightly lighter weight and a little more comfortable, and holds a bigger water bottle.

I’ve used this back pack in black for years. This is identical in style a nice pink/coral color. I’ve used it for several months now without any problem. My last one lasted over 4 years including being washed and hung to dry. It cost almost half of what it would on the V.B. site and appears authentic and works the same. Interior pockets, zippers, interior design, padding on straps, all identical and great.

Lovely backpack and beautiful colours. Small but fits a lot into it. Very cute and can take any where.
