brilliant book

I didn’t enjoy the size of the book. The A4 was more like a large school text book than a reading book so I couldn’t take it out and read a few pages at lunchtime. The contents of the book was interesting but I have not been happy reading it in such a large size

Great read

I bought this for my FIL per his request for xmas present. I asked to borrow it after he was done and he said no because it was too disturbing and sad to read and he didn't want me to get upset. But it is history and he said it was very detailed and well written so if you have a strong stomach then take your chances.

It's been proven Maria Monk never stepped foot in the Nunnery she attacks in the book, but it's still an important part of my collection and I intend to read it soon.

I bought this out of curiosity. It is one of the most difficult reads ever and I have read War and Peace. Maybe it's me and the fact I had aunts in the convent, but I just can't get into it. So it sits on the coffee table and waits for me to pick it up again.
