Lots of activities
This train is so bright and colorful with many things to do. It requires 3-AAA bated that are not included. You have to unscrew the plate that houses them so no worry about your toddler being able to get to them. There are two on/off switches. The one on the bottom turns on the movement of the train itself. It moves fairly quickly and changes direction if it hits something. The bottom on the side of the train activates the other activities. As soon as you turn it on, a female voice says something like, pick a friend. Put in a card! She will say that up to 3 times until you put in a card. When you do insert a card, she says the name of the object or animal and what it does. Push another button and she makes the noise of the object or animal. There are two different volume options, which is nice. You can push a button to switch from English to Spanish which will be fun as we are teaching her a little Spanish. The female voice has an Asian accent which introduces her to even more diversity. There are other activities as well. You turn a cog wheel and the train conductor waves. Opening the door makes a sound. It seems like the quality is good. It is easy to use once you figure it out and I’ll admit it took me a few minutes to do that! It’s a nice size for a toddler.I got this for my 20 month old granddaughter. It will be another couple of weeks before I’ll be able to give it to her but I feel confident that she will have fun with it and I know I’ll have fun playing with it with her.It feels a little pricey at $39.99 but it does offer a lot of activities and is well made.

ABSOLUTE HIT!
Whenever I go to see friends with kids I like to bring the kid a toy. Mostly to keep them busy so we can enjoy our short time together. I got this toy for a 3 year old girl and all the kids loved it - the younger ones and the slightly older ones! I think it would be great for 2-4 years old. The loved putting the word cards in and out of the train and loved how the wheels turn as the train goes. They played with it for a good while without batteries and putting batteries in was like a different toy.

Granddaughter loves it
Very educational. Lots of things to do on this train, like open/close doors, play music, use the cards to learn different animals, and a clock on the front to learn to tell time. This toy will be useful for a long time--at least a couple of years (which is a lot in a child's life).I think it's a little pricey for what it is, but it does offer a lot of features for the money.

A long lasting toy
The Musical Bilingual Learning Train is a BIG hit in this house! The age range says 18 months+ but honestly you can use this when your little one shows signs of crawling with the music / movement feature. The amount of features this train has is amazing. If my daughter seems done listening to the music / pushing the piano keys then we switch the mode to reading cards that of course can be English or Spanish but also there is a sound feature for what the cards will do. Lastly, the muted color scheme is perfect for mom who is not a fan of the bright colors. It's a great quality toy that she'll be able to use for years. That makes the price worth it .

Well constructed and does not have choking hazards.
This train is adorable, well-constructed, and free from choking hazards, making it perfect for little ones. The word cards are sturdy, easy for small hands to grip, and won’t bend or break. I love the convenient storage holder on top. A particularly thoughtful feature is the ability to turn off both the rolling mechanism and the volume. When the rollers are on, the train behaves like an automatic vacuum, changing direction when it bumps into something, which immediately caught my granddaughter's attention. This makes it an ideal toy for babies who are on the verge of crawling or already crawling, as they’ll be eager to chase after it. While it rolls smoothly on hard surfaces, it doesn't have the power to move on carpet or over bumps, which is actually helpful for containing it within a space. Overall, I highly recommend this toy for babies and toddlers.
