Works great on my laptop
I bought this to replace an old one that had only UBS ports. This one has the micro-USB ports beside the regular USB ones.So far it works great.

This is all you need
Not super-fast, but definitely fast, and I was surprised how fast the USB-C ports charge, since the base plugin is just a plain ole' USB plug. This is important, however, since the odds of you being able to find an OG USB brick somewhere is probably pretty high.

It did what needed to be done
I have an older Microsoft laptop with limited USB ports, and this device really helped increase my productivity by allowing me to connect all my additional devices at once. I do, however, wish that it came with a few extra USB ports, but otherwise the performance and capability of this item came in When needed

USB C will not charge a phone
other ports work as intended. Not sure what it's there for,maybe to light a monitor, or data transfer? Luckily I just bought it for the standard USB ports.
