Keeping My Senior Chickens Toasty with This Dog House Heater
As my chickens enter their golden years, I’ve started worrying more about their comfort, especially during those chilly winter nights. Enter the JANARARY outdoor dog house heater—a portable yet powerful little heater that’s become my coop’s new MVP!Now, don’t let the name fool you—this heater might be designed for dog houses, but it’s perfect for my flock of feathered friends. With its 500W PTC heating system, this heater warms up in no time. In just 2 seconds, it’s already pumping out heat, which will be a big win for those frosty mornings. This heater can handle spaces up to 125 cubic feet. I have 21 chickens so I do have a large coop but chickens body temp ranges between 105°F and 107°F. To maintain their body temp the environmental temperature should be between 60°F and 75°F. With them sharing body heat inside the coop and the addition of this heater I feel we will get through the upcoming winter all toasty and happy! What really sold me on this heater is the ultimate thermostat design. It’s got an IPX5 waterproof controller, and I can set the temperature anywhere between 41°F to 113°F. Plus, the 24-hour timer is a lifesaver. I don’t have to trek out in the cold to adjust it—just set it and forget it!Safety is key when you’ve got curious critters running around, and this heater doesn’t skimp on protection. It comes with automatic overheat shutdown, restart functions, a chew-resistant (or peck-resistant) steel cord (thank goodness), and a durable metal baffle. Knowing that it has all these safety features gives me peace of mind, especially since my chickens aren’t getting any younger. The smart remote control via the app is just the cherry on top. I can monitor and adjust the coop’s temperature from the comfort of my warm house! The heater also has a separate temperature sensing line for precise readings, and it remembers your last settings, so I’m not constantly fiddling with it.This JANARARY heater will keep my senior chickens cozy and content all winter long. It’s easy to install, super reliable, and perfectly suited for their needs. Five stars from this happy chicken mama and a cluck of approval from the whole flock!

These heaters are phenomenal for your outside pup!
This heater fires right up and works like a charm! The wi-fi addition, oh my gosh! I have a doggy cam on the dog house, with plastic fringy things on the door, of course! It's too hot now to turn it on and even think that a dog would use it BUT, I left it running and stuck my hand in there, I mean, wow! It's nice! With insulation on the pup's house, this thing will keep them toasty and of course safe for freezing temperatures. Now, I live in the PNW and we have maybe a couple weeks of snow if that, but it does get below freezing in Jan and Feb. I know I feel comfortable leaving my dog with his dog house and HE will be comfortable. (After all, that's who it's all about!) His dog house has a covered porch as well. It's the coolest place, just had to share, lol.Anyway, the only thing that I KNOW from the other one, is to MAKE sure the cords are not within dog arms reach so they can chew on them... His sister, needs to be busy especially in a Kennel. I did not judge distances correctly and she stuck her arm out and pulled that cord in! Chewed into 10 million pieces. By the grace of Gawd, she wasn't electrocuted or set the place on fire! Otherwise, I have absolutely no complaints or concerns. I would get another one of these without hesitation! BUY IT!

Great Heater for Keeping My Dogs Warm
I've been using this outdoor heater for my dogs, and it's been fantastic. It heats up quickly and covers enough space to keep their area nice and cozy. The adjustable thermostat is perfect for maintaining the right temperature, and the 24-hour timer makes it super convenient. I love the app feature, which lets me control the heat from inside the house. The safety features like the overheat protection and chew-resistant cord give me peace of mind. It's easy to set up and has been working great so far!

Using 2 on WiFi / App works
My husband has built our AmStaff a very large dog house…... .just in case it gets cold outside. She sleeps in the house and is only outdoors when we are with her or when she decides she wants to stay out…we check on her every 15 minutes. When we have to be out of town for the day - 12-16 hours, she needs a warm dog house. She had a 15’x25’ open kennel with an igloo shaped dog house . If we board her, based on their drop off and pick up hours, she has to be away from us for almost two full days. This doesn’t make any of us happy. My husband's idea of a dog house is larger than most. When I saw his plans, we both knew we needed more than one dog house heater. But if we have two heaters on wifi, will the wifi work on each one separately, will it recognize each independently? My plan was to put one heater the furthest from the door of the house, the second, nearer the door as a backup for super cold days. I hoped the app would tell them apart and not switch them back and forth with each other. I am pleased to say that after downloading and adding them one at a time to the app, they are named by the app “dog house heater” and “dog house heater 2”. They stay assigned the same way they were added. The app allows me to turn each heater on, change the temperature up or down and turn each heater off. The wifi set up wasn’t difficult although I did have a few moments of pause …the button on the remote shows…to long press the power button to add the unit to the app….this will only work after the ON button has been short pressed to turn ON and the heater is on…then long press to add to the app. From inside the app it was easy to discover each heater one at a time. The issues I ran into setting these up were, the QR code on the top of the unit, takes me to a website saying to scan the code. One of the two QR codes on the unit leads to a good video ( other than not being clear to turn the heater on ( via short press ) before trying to add it to the app ( via long press ) but the QR code leads to a website showing the same QR code I just scanned. It was a ring around the rosie. The unit works, the app works, but only after deciding just to follow the app, not the QR code, was I able to get things going correctly. Based on the QR code making the set up more difficult, I have deducted one star. My rating is 4 Stars.
