L'Oreal Paris Cosmetics Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation Makeup - Shell Beige

Overall, this is a great product to use as an everyday foundation, if you want matte-ish skin, with a subtle glow to it. Just make sure you choose your correct shade wisely! When ordering, I purchased the colour "Shell Beige", as it looked like the closest match to my skin tone. I have a light to medium skin tone with a yellow undertone. I am also from an Asian background, Pakistan, for all those wondering. Initially, when I swatched it on my hand, the colour was a perfect match to my skin, so I then went on to apply as normal. The finish was mostly matte, as I have dry-ish normal combination skin, but it didn't cling on to any dry patches I have around my cheek and nose areas. It looked almost as good as my Armani Luminous Silk foundation, if I'm being honest. But as time went on, and I was finishing the rest of my face, I noticed my skin was becoming oranger and oranger. It got to the point where I had almost finished, and as I was applying my mascara, I saw to the extent at how orange my face has really become. It had oxidised to a much much darker colour. I ended up having to clean my whole base off and reapply a whole new foundation. What I would recommend, is if you are looking to purchase this foundation for the first time, try and visit a shop that sells it so you can try a bunch of colours to see which one matches the closest. This way you can swatch a couple of colours on your hand, have a wander around the rest of the shop, then see which ones oxidise and which ones don't. This way, you'll save yourself some money and really ensure you don't look like a bright orange Oompa Loompa by time you finish your makeup! You can always re-order on Amazon once you know which shade works for you. Once I find my correct shade, I will do another review on this product, as I'm sure it will be 4 or 5 stars, because although the colour was off, the application, consistency and feel on my skin was fabulous. I will still have to test the longevity, though.

Después de usar la poderosa Infallible PRO matte estoy segura que será mi base para siempre. Deja un acabado súper bonito en la piel, tersa y suave. Mi tipo de piel es mixta y puedo decir que en las zonas que tengo piel grasa las matifica y las zonas que tengo piel seca se nota bastante hidratada. Está base no se oxida, la cobertura que tiene es media y una ventaja enorme que tiene es que es "construible". Me encantó que tiene un aroma muy suave, y entre sus ingredientes tiene algunos que son "no comedogénicos" es fácil de difuminar, es ligera. Me encantó que no es necesario sellarla porque en lo particular no me gusta usar polvo traslúcido. Otra cosa más que me gustó fue el precio, es muy accesible y te llevas contigo una excelente calidad. Como su nombre lo indica: ¡Infalible por 24 horas! ¡La amé!

I really wanted to love the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid Longwear Foundation in Shell Beige, but it ended up being just okay for me. The color match was actually quite nice—Shell Beige blended well with my skin tone and looked natural at first. I also liked the light, non-overpowering smell, which made applying it more pleasant. The makeup quality felt good at first touch, and the packaging has a nice sturdiness to it—it’s easy to toss in a bag without worrying about leaks. Unfortunately, the foundation quality didn’t hold up as well as I hoped. After a few hours, the makeup started to separate, especially around my nose and chin, and the consistency became patchy instead of smooth. I expected more long-lasting coverage for something that’s supposed to be “pro-matte.” It’s not terrible, but it’s not amazing either—definitely a lower star product for me .

I always come back to this foundation and have been using it for years. Applies evenly, great coverage, and lasts all day. To make it a bit more Dewey mix with some moisturizer or a Dewey setting spray. I use 102 on fair cool skin *to warm up my tone* You may want a lighter shade is you’re a cool, pale toned shade, I just like to warm up my tone with this shade and some Physicians Formula bronzer applied to cheeks, forehead and eyelids.
